Just a sample

There's sooo many pictures from the trip with the Schick's, I didn't know where to start!

This is how the week started off....
.. warm, perfect for swimming...
(two carefree girls: Amber & Holly)

building sand castles..
bubbles.... (these two goons are wearing my shoes :)

needing sunglasses for boat rides....

.. and warm evenings out in the boat.

Then it suddenly switched to:

freezing boat rides (even with 5 layers on!)....

wearing anybody's sweatshirt we could get a hold of....

once again, freezing boat rides....(I love Johnny's eyes!)

bundling up with swimming towels...

Like I said, we wore any sweatshirt we could get! :)

Once again, another cold boat ride... :)

... And sitting around the fire!!

So there's just a sample of the trip. I'll be posting more... so keep checking for updates! :)

(why is there always this big blank spot at the end?.........)

Lindsay's Birthday Bash

OK, so where was I? Oh yes! I was starting to blog about my trip with the Schick's.

Lindsay and Jake came up on Lindsay's birthday! So we bought balloons, napkins, made a banner, etc. And we also bought her gag gifts. :)

So this a belated birthday post to LINDSAY!
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!

(the first few pictures aren't in Wisconsin... but the last few are.)

oh yea, we made her a cake, too!

Lindsay and Laura Lou = buds
(they kinda look alike, don't they?)

LOVE YA, LINDS!!!

Lorie Line Concert

BTW, I was totally joking about the last post. I just wanted to see what you guys would say. :) My trip was way too fun to not post about it!
I'm starting with the trip with the Schick's, and then I'll do our family vacation....so be prepared for a lot of posts! :)

As you all probably know, I missed a Lorie Line concert in Springfield to go to Wisconsin.

But on Friday when we were driving around Hayward, I saw a sign that said Lorie Line was going to be there that Sunday!! I was soo excited. I mean, what are the chances?! I called Mom to get all the details.

Aunt Carol and I went on Sunday afternoon to the really nice Hayward High School. It was her last show for Spring/Summer --- in Hayward--- when we were there!

I'm still so shocked about the whole thing...

Anyways.

(Signing my NEW book)

Me & Her (I look soooo disgusting!)

The concert was amaaazing. It lasted for 3 hours!
She has a whole orchestra, but she only takes 5 of them along with her for the Spring/Summer tour.

Aunt Carol, Lorie, and Me

She talked a lot, and all her partners (or whatever you call them..) told funny/cute stories.

I uploaded a video for you all. This video is just her, no other instruments. And she's going from song to song because this was after she took requests from the audience.
The video just isn't like being there. :)

My parents and I went to her concert in Wisconsin (strange that she's always there when we are) 2 years ago. I was looking at my old posts to see if I ever blogged about it, but I didn't.
Anyways... here is probably post 1 of 10 from this vacation. ;)

Grandma Schick.

Hey everyone!
I got back last night at 5:30.
I had a wonderful time, even though the weather wasn't very good.

*sigh*
I have so much to write about I don't know where to begin.
But I think I'm going to write about what's been the biggest thing happening in my life right now.

Grandma Schick.

While I was gone, she became weaker and started detoriating very quickly. We weren't sure if she was going to be here when we got home.

We went straight to my Aunt Jeanne's (where Grandma is staying) on our way home yesterday. I was up there all evening with Mom & Dad.

She's alert and can still talk. But she doesn't do anymore than she has to.
Every so often, she'll say something that still has her spunk to it.
Like yesterday: Aunt Jeanne was giving her some pain medication or something and she told her,"You're a pest!" :)

Anyways, last night I asked her if she wanted me to play the piano for her, and she did. So I played for a really long time. When I told her good-bye, she told me she loved me and then she said, "You're so sweet."

Please Pray for Peace and Comfort for Grandma during this time. And also those who care for her 24/7.

She has a caring bridge site for any of those who don't know.
Just type in dollyschick.

I LOVE YOU, GRANDMA!
