Random Question

Ok, here’s a question for you guys. You’ll get it right if you know me really well, I just want to know how many people know this. :)

Q: What is my special so-called “talent” that I can do and no one else can (except for a few people) even though they try?

Taffy

During the night Tuesday night, our cute, but old dog, Taffy, died. She stopped eating and drinking the end of last week, and went down hill from there. Her mouth was all bloody, and her eyes were really nasty. We got her to drink a little bit yesterday, but she got way to dehydrated. I checked on her before I went to bed on Tuesday, and as Heidi would say, she was breathing the death rattle. She died in her favorite spot though, under the deck. My dad buried her Tuesday morning behind our shed before going to work. He put bricks around it, and Luke made a cross for it. :) She was 90 years old in dog years, and not very playful, but I'll still miss her. She's the only dog we've ever had, so its kind of a big loss to us. :) She had gray hair. I actually didn't even know that dogs got gray hair. Anyways, now we're fighting over on what kind of dog well get now. I really want a chocolate lab. My mom says we shouldn't even be thinking about it so quick. :) But, we probably won't get one until spring anyways. :(

Linds

Since Linds was the only one who gave me any ideas what to post about, I decided I would use her idea. So, here are some things about my great cousin, Lindsay. :)

Lindsay’s a great cousin!! She has sleepovers for us “little girls,” she plans Schick cousin nights, she’s one of the few people who call me on my cell, and she leaves comments on my blog!! She is also a teacher, she scrapbooks, and she’s healthy. Her classroom is so cute, especially with the “do your best” border. ;) She just bought a new, bigger house, which is exciting cause it means more fun times at Lindsay’s!! She went to Rome, France and I don’t know where else around there this summer. I never did get to see those pictures, Linds.

So that was kind of a random paragraph. I love ya lots, Linds!!

P.S. Anyone have some new ideas??

I love weekends

That’s why I always blog about them.

Friday night, Kendra came over and spent the night. We sat around and talked and ate ice cream and a million raspberries. We were laughing so hard that I kept choking on them!! It was really kinda scary. :) Saturday morning, Kendra and I babysat at Jamie’s brother’s wedding. We went to their house for a little bit, and then we went to Riverside church. We got them ready for the wedding, in their darling outfits. Then we headed to the botanical gardens for pictures, and that’s where the wedding was too. We were at the gardens for 4 hours, and it got really long. They didn’t feed the kids or us lunch, so we were all starving, hot, tired, and everything else that’s miserable. There was really no place to take kids, so we had to change diapers and stuff under a gazebo. Not fun. And what was really bad, the twin’s outfits were all white with green ties. Note: white outfits and boys do not go. The twins were the ring bearers, so we didn’t have them during the wedding, but we had Dillon and Logan. Dillon would not stop crying, so I didn’t see much of the wedding. But, I guess I was there to baby-sit.... not for the wedding. :D It was weird though, cause I kinda knew the Bride. She was home schooled, and used to be in our choir group. Anyways, once we got back to the church for the reception, it was so much easier. We were in AC, and the boys were tired, so they were really calm. We felt kinda dumb cause we were at the parent’s table, and we didn’t really even know the bride or groom. Basically, during the reception we just played with the boys and then we just watched people dance (to the annoying jazz band) and the kids sat on our laps. That was definitely the most relaxing and best part. We finally got home at about 8, and I had 5 blisters on each foot, and my feet were so sore. The next morning, I could hardly wear my shoes for church, and my arm muscles were really sore.

Sunday I went to Jenna’s and hung out. In the evening, we went out to eat, and went to go see Uncle Bill and Aunt Joan at John and Dot’s. Missed ya, Kate!! :(

This morning, I went to the dentist cause I’ve been having really bad toothaches. Turns out, I had a cavity. Annnddd, another one growing!! :\ My very first cavities!!! I wanted to see how long I could go without having one, and it turns out it’s been 14 years!! I guess 13.... cause I didn’t have teeth when I was born.

Have a great one on this freezing fall day!!

Pumpkin Festival

Last night I went to the Pumpkin Festival with Kendra. We saw so many people we knew, and hung out with them. We got tickets, and I wasn’t the daredevil I usually am, cause I haven’t been on a ride since I got sick on one. So I went on some pretty boring ones. My favorite ride though, is the Pharaohs Ferry. I went on it twice. =) We split tickets or whatever, and somehow Kendra got to go on more rides than me. When I only had one ticket left, we were trying to decide which one to go on. (Cause not very many good ones takes 1 ticket) When Jordan found out I had never been on a Ferris wheel, she made me go on it. It wasn’t very exciting.... but enjoyable. Oh, and Carni’s freak me out. Especially the one that was running the Ferris wheel. *shudder* After going on rides, we ate. Kendra got pumpkin ice cream, and I got a funnel cake. Wow, those funnel cakes are amazing. That’s always one of my highlights at any festival.:) That’s the only time I get to go to the Pumpkin festival. I’m going to miss the parade on Saturday too, and I can’t remember ever missing the Pumpkin parade. I don’t really mind that much though. Well, off I go to do more Bio. :P

Kansas & Bio

This past weekend, we went to Kansas to visit Larry and Jill. We left Friday afternoon, with my family (excluding Heidi). No offense to my family or anything, but it’s kinda boring to travel with them. It makes it seem longer. Saturday we sorta slept in, (It’s kinda hard when you’re sleeping in Brenna’s room and she yells for mom early in the morning) and then the guys went to Albany Days while we ran errands or whatever. After, we went to Albany Days too. I guess it’s a big thing in Bern/Sabetha, but my mom and I sure didn’t think so. :)  It might’ve been alright, but it was cold and rainy. So we weren’t there for very long at all. When we came home, it wasn’t nice enough to do anything outside, so I took a nap. When I woke up my aunt and uncle, John and Jeanne were there. That night, we ate supper at about 7, and sat around the table till 9. There is never a dull moment or a boring conversation with Jill there. :) Jill talked a lot about when Heidi was little.... I really wish I was born, and could remember it, cause she sounds like she was quite the child. Very dramatic. Sunday morning, I didn’t feel good at all. So, what did I do? I took oxi-link. It helped, once again and I went to church. We went to Sabetha, and I didn’t know one single person there. After church, we went to the visitation for my Mom’s cousin, Sharon Strahm. In the afternoon, I took a nap, rode the 3-wheeler, and actually read my book. Believe it or not, I’m a very good driver on the 3-wheeler. Even Adam said so, and for Adam to say something like that, you really have to be good at it. :)
Anyways, Monday morning we were going to leave, but since Mom’s cousin died, we stayed for the funeral. Us kids weren’t going to go, but they wanted to leave straight from Sabetha. I watched little kids in the baby room the whole time. Jill said they were my 2nd cousins, but I had never seen them before. I probably have over a hundred 2nd cousins. The way home was long.... Luke was being loud and hyper, so they turned “Hank the Cow Dog” on for the rest of the way home. I think I’m getting used to that or something.... I didn’t mind it as much. Wow, actually liking the listen to “Hank the Cow Dog”.... now that’s a scary thought.
Now I have my days mixed up again. I keep thinking it’s a day earlier. And I’m so behind on my school, cause I didn’t do it in the van. It’s just way too hard to concentrate. I have to do 4 days of Bio...which could take approximately 8 hours. I’m on one of the hardest modules, and I’m not getting it one bit. I have to read it over twice, and it’s taking forever!!
Yesterday I helped Jamie again... the kids weren’t the best yesterday, but the time actually went pretty fast. I took care of the baby a lot, which was probably part of it. Oh, by the way, he’s 5 weeks. I had said earlier he was 3 months.... but he was actually 3 weeks. :) The twin’s birthday was on Thursday, so they had lots of new toys. I think I might actually be getting a little tired of kids...but just a little bit. But of course, I will never get tired of Wes and Laura. :)
So that’s all for now...I need to post something interesting. Any ideas?

Never...

I will never get sick of kids. If so, this was/is the week to test it. Tuesday, I went and helped Jamie (my new job) and played with 3 little boys for 5 hours. When I came home at about 5:00, all the Fritz kids were here. So, I played with them until they left, which was about 9:00. The next morning, Evan came at 7:30am, hyper as can be. He was here all day...but he was really good. I guess I wasn’t with kids that much.... but it has seemed like it. Then, this weekend we’re going to Kansas, so I’ll be with Brenna all weekend. I’m not complaining, I’m just saying I love being with little kids. :)

And never...have I had so many mosquito bites on my feet. I have 6 bites on my two feet, and whenever I put shoes on, they start itching. :S

Never.... have I been so annoyed with crickets. Last night, before bed, I opened my window cause it felt so good out there. During the night, I woke up with the sound of a cricket. I couldn’t sleep it was so annoying. This morning, there was a cricket in-between my window and screen.

And last but not least, I haven’t seen Heidi in such a good mood in a long time. :)

Labor Day Weekend

So, here I go again, telling what I did this weekend. On Friday, I went to Lori’s Scrapbooking workshop. Cliff and Kendra were of course there, so they were a little distraction to me, but I got 3 sides done, which is pretty good for me. Anyways, Kendra was going to spend the night, but she couldn’t, and I was going to go there, but she was so boring and tired, that I decided not to. On Saturday we went to Kohl’s for a little bit, and got some clothes and shoes. Yay!!  Then I went to Kendra’s, and we went bike riding, running, and played volleyball. We just hung out all night. And, I accomplished something VERY BIG!!! I got Kendra to eat some sweets!! She’s been on a sugar free diet since last Saturday, and she hasn’t been hyper or hasn’t had as much energy as usually, so she was boring. But, she ate some bars and pie. She seriously then was super hyper while playing volleyball. It was great, she was back to her normal self. We went to bed super early(surprisingly), but talked till late.
Sunday....was of course church. Kendra, Tess, Jenna and kinda me, decided to be on a sugar free diet. We’re gonna see who can go without junk food/sweets until next Sunday. I doubt I’ll stay on it.....but who knows.....Kendra thinks there’s no way I’m gonna do it, but I might do it to show her I CAN do it. :)
Monday morning, I got really sick.  But, I took oxi-link and I felt a million times better, and still got to go to Justin and Mindy’s. (See, that stuff really is magic...) We ate lunch, and played baseball all afternoon. I thought I did pretty good for only playing for the second time this summer. We went back and ate supper, and then Jared and Sarah told there story. Now, I need to go study for my Bio test :P and get in the shower. Hope you all had a great weekend too!!
