Saturday was the Pfaffmann Christmas at Uncle Jack's. We watched The Polar Express and as usual, ate too much and then went on a walk.
Sunday was our own family Christmas. After church, we picked up Bernardi's chicken(which is the best chicken EVER!), and then opened presents. I got a lot of stuff for my room and keyboard. Oh, I never mentioned, I got a keyboard for my room about a month ago. I love it!!!
Monday, Christmas Day, we went to church and then went straight to Grandma Schick's. As usual, it was very crowded, but we survived another year. A whole bunch of us played Apples to Apples for about 3 hours. After supper, all the cousins(or most) went to Traever and Andrea's to hang out.
Tuesday was the big Schick Christmas. It was at a church that had a gym, so that was good.... but it was still boring as ever. Afterwards, Jenna spent the night. And then.....Wednesday was day care day! Aunt Jeanne, Jill, Kate & Rachel went shopping for a while so they dropped off all there kids. Then Jessica dropped all hers off. So there was: Amber, Holly, Benj, Wes, Brenna, Kyle, Trenton, Raegan, Ashlyn, Kristy, Eric & Luke. It went great until:
-Trenton hit his teeth against the table and his teeth were bleeding like crazy
-Regean and Ashlyn wanted to eat at the same time
-When Heidi wasn't watching Ashlyn and she kicked her baby food onto the floor with glass and baby food everywhere and everyone stepping in it
-After eating, Reagan spit up all over him, me, and the floor
-And when Brenna spilled cherroies all over the floor.
May I might add that this alll happened within a minute period.
And some pictures!!
The 16 Kids (counting us older ones)

Jenna, Heidi, Me, & Josh

Have a great day!!

Happy 83rd Birthday, Grandma!
Tuesday we went Christmas shopping in Bloomington and then went to BroMenn Hospital to play violins. There was 20 something people there in this huge lobby and it sounded awesome. Afterwards, we went to Pizza Hut.....Cliffie is too cute!!
Wednesday morning I went and helped Linds at school. She picked me up at 7:30 and school got out at 2:15. I don't know how she does it everyday. When I was leaving she told me, "now you know why I always feel like I was ran over by a tractor." :0) The kids were cute but very excited and hyper for Christmas. Straight after helping Linds I went to Kidders and played the piano there. I got a new music book! YAY! :0)
Today is Grandma Schick's 83rd birthday! The adults are going out to eat at the Fish House and then everybody(counting all the kids) is going back to Uncle Tom and Aunt Carol's for a party and cake.

And...Our 2006 Christmas Letter
Dad is still busy at work. Even though we don’t have lots of news about him, he faithfully takes care of us all, starting the woodburner each morning so we can wake up to a cozy warm house, and a million other things. Lately, us girls have kept him busy setting mousetraps.
Mom is still home schooling the younger kids, so she stays busy with that. She very much enjoys her great nephews and nieces. Sometimes we wonder if she thinks she’s a grandma to them - she sure takes “grandma rights.”
I just finished my last semester at Illinois Central College, and am looking very forward to starting at Methodist College of Nursing in January. I quit working at the nursing home this summer, and it’s given me lots more free weekend time, which I gladly take advantage of.
Adam got a buck with his bow this year and boy, were we proud of him! He took Driver’s Ed this summer and has been making good use of having his permit. It’s scary. He worked a lot this summer baling hay, helping Uncle Tom, and mowing. He could hardly stand it when all his activity stopped after an emergency appendectomy in July. He loves fishing, hunting, and trapping. Too bad those aren’t subjects in school. Mom is a little less than thrilled about his coon skins laying in her freezer.
Wendi continues to charm our ears with her piano music, and her violin music is getting closer. She’s starting her second year teaching piano lessons to my cousin’s two girls, as well as Luke when he cooperates. She loves kids and babysitting, is a professional shopper, and enjoys talking and being with her friends.
Luke continues to be, well, his unique imaginative self. He loves helping Adam with trapping, playing outside in his forts or sandbox, or turning our living room (and most of the house) into a farm, complete with soybeans and corn all over the floor. He was excited to be able to ride with Uncle Tom during harvest, and is pretty sure he wants to be a farmer.
As usual, this summer took the family (minus me) to St. Germain, Wisconsin. I stayed home because I was taking two summer classes. I had a great time, and I heard they did too. Some of the excitement included lots of fishing, good food, playing guitars in the van on the way up, family time, and a grease fire that burned the grill to the ground (long story).
Well, that is our year in a nutshell. We love hearing from all of you and getting your cards, letters, and pictures in the mail. May God bless you with His presence in this Christmas season.
With love,
Max, Mary, Heidi, Adam, Wendi, & Luke

gingerbread house disaster and piano recital
Thank goodness, Jamie thought it was darling when she came home. I have now learned my lesson. Never make a gingerbread house with two 3 year olds and a 1 year old.
Thursday night was Amber and Holly’s piano recital here. It went really good except some of the duets didn’t go the greatest.
Tonight is Kendra and Tess’s choir concert. Jenna’s coming with me, and then we’re going to her house. Maybe we’ll go rollerblading since it’s so warm out! :-)
Have a great weekend!

No time for blogging..
My Thanksgiving weekend was wonderful.
I love the snow. I went snowmobiling all day Saturday and for a while yesterday. I love to snowmobile. Except with the one’s the boys have, it seems like there’s more exhaust than snow.
Yesterday I went shopping and got a boat load. :-)
Last night I played violins at the home, and there was 4 people there counting me. Not good.
This month is really busy, so I won’t have time to blog.
So this is bad, I wrote it in like 2 seconds, but I’ve gotta go help with sandwiches.
P.S. Kate, I’m so sorry!!!! :-( You have my sympathy. Call me!! :-)

I have a new friend...
Last night and tonight Luke and I went “hunting.” When he asked me to go out with him it’s just too cute to say no. :-) Cause all day he comes in all serious and says what he shot, missed or whatever else happened on his adventure. We went in the field behind us and actually did see a buck and a doe.
Well, time to finish my Blueberry Muffins!!
Have a great Thanksgiving!!!

I had a fun weekend...
And now I have to go clean my room cause it’s a disaster.
Oh, and I love comments!!! :-)

Randomness
Tuesday morning the Traveling Zoo (the Fritz kids) came. We all went in the field behind our house and walked to see these beautiful horses Luke had discovered. We also discovered huge buck tracks in the field. So all day I was just having fun with Wes until I had to go to piano. *sigh* These almost 2 hour piano lessons are getting really old.
Wednesday...was good until our neighbor dogs ran away. Again. I think I’m going to quit that job real soon. Luke and I spent over two hours looking for them. We actually weren’t looking for them for 2 hours, just one. But the other hour we just sat in these people’s ditch we didn’t know, hoping the dogs would come out of the woods. We decided we looked like hitch hikers. Everybody that passed us just stared. We were so bored and tired. Then on our way home we made a band with a plastic sack filled with dog bones, my flip-flops, two dog leashes, a cell phone, and Luke’s tennis shoes. If you really thought about it, it sounded cool, but Luke said it just sounded like we were making a lot of noise. :) Yeah, so we couldn’t get a hold of the owners of the dogs, and we had to leave, so we left. They called us and said they were in there cages when they got home. Our neighbor lady must’ve put them in there.
Wednesday night was ACYF practice. There was hardly anyone there. 2 sopranos, 2 altos, 5 tenors, and 1 bass. We actually didn’t sound too bad for how few people were there.
Thursday I had no violin cause Kalsey is getting married this weekend. Instead, I went to Gramma’s and I got to go to Wal-Mart!!! Very exciting, since I’ve been trying for a month for someone to take me there. *sigh* I can’t wait till I can drive!!
Thursday night I talked to Kendra for the first time in 4 days. We never go that long without talking to each other. :)
Today I did my Bio test that I kept putting off. I may have failed it, but it’s finally done! :)
So here’s a few more random things-
-I loved the weather until today
-Never give your cell phone to Jessica to borrow; she may never give it back!
-Don’t take a shower after Heidi; you will have no hot or warm water whatsoever
-I stepped on a snake Thursday. *shudder* Every time I think of it, it sends shivers down my spine. It was the first snake I’ve seen all year
-I broke my toe on Thursday too
-I was going to post a picture of Adam and his deer, but he doesn’t want me to, so I’m being nice and not posting it.
-I love tootsie rolls
Have a great weekend!

YAY 4 ADAM!
We just got back from going out to the farm because we had to go take a picture of Adam and his buck!! He shot a 6 pointer tonight and it’s a really good size. The past two deer he’s shot at, he could never find.... so this is really exciting!! I’ll post pictures later...
So we were going to go out to eat tonight or do something, but everything kinda got dropped when Adam shot this deer...
This morning we had a shower here for Jared and Sarah. I hardly had to clean anything. It was great. Wedding showers are really boring.... especially Pampered Chef Showers. :P
Then this afternoon, Hyde, Nenna, and I went shopping for a little bit. I didn’t get anything. Oh yeah, I got a pretzel. :)
Love ya’ll....

[People who has seen/heard about my cheer, (which seems like everyone, thanks to Hyde! :P) I know, I’m weird....]

GO TIGERS!!
When I was little, Kate and I collected baseball cards like crazy. We traded them and always fought over the Sammy Sosa ones. :) I was always so excited when I got to go to Baseball Card City!! I was only 8 years old...I think. I still have my collection downstairs somewhere in a box. They’re probably worth nothing.
GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!

It's sunny!!
Friday afternoon I went to Lori’s scrapbooking workshop. I got there early, and I was the only one there for 3 hours. Kendra went to guitar lessons, and Lori was gone, so I watched Cliff. I didn’t even start scrapbooking until anyone else got there. *sigh* Kendra and I never do anything together anymore.... she’s always too busy. I’m bored pretty much every weekend.
Saturday, I was going to be the only one home, but I went to Jamie’s soccer game with Linds. Jamie* was goalie most of the time, so we didn’t get to see her play much, but her team won!! After the soccer game, I went to Jenna’s and hung out there all day. We had fun... went to Jimmy John’s for lunch (that place is soo good!!), watched a suspense movie (I hate those...), made cookies, looked at there 3 day old kittens (you can’t hold ‘em, we just looked at them for the longest time. lol), went on our annual bike ride, and went to Wal-Mart. It seemed like a blast to me since I was planning on being home all day alone being bored.
Sunday.... was Invite-A-Friend. My mom and dad invited Sticklings, but there kids didn’t come, so it didn’t really seem like we invited anyone. I was with Kendra’s company though, Maria and Amber. I met new people!! :) I love meeting new people... :)
So that’s about all I have to say.... Oh, cute story! :) On Monday, one of the dogs we take care of ran away. Adam was really mad, so he said he’s quitting the job. So today Luke took over w/me. He was asking how much he’d earn today, and I said $1.50. And he says, “Man, I’m gonna be so rich!!” :)
Yesterday I helped Jamie* with the kids. She wasn’t there, the kids weren’t very good, and I’m going tomorrow too.
Love ya’ll!!
*First star is Jamie Schick, my cousin
*Second star is Jamie, you I babysit for.
(Just wanted to make that clear :)

So.....what should I write?
Let’s see.....
I’m in the Christmas spirit right now. Kendra got me into it, and now all I’ve been playing on the piano is Christmas, and yeah, I’m just in the Christmas spirit. Which reminds me, earlier today I was playing the piano and Heidi asks me “Is that from Les Miserables?” HAHA, sorry Hyde, but it’s called O come all ye faithful. :)
Ummm..............
Heidi’s moved into my room right now. Am I ever glad we don’t share a room. If you haven’t read Heidi’s mouse “tail” you should definitely check it out. I’m also really glad my room isn’t downstairs. Too many mice and spiders/bugs. And snakes. :) We don’t have snakes downstairs except for we had one after we moved into our house. I was really little, I don’t remember it, but we have a picture of it and *shudder* it’s disgusting. I hate snakes.
Today I had violin. I think being engaged is making Kalsey.... what’s the word...weird? Not weird.... I don’t know, but she was hilarious today. :)
OK, so this is a really boring post...so sorry to disappoint ya guys.

I have nothing to do, so I'm writing another post.
Late Wednesday afternoon, I got really sick. I can’t remember the last time I’ve felt so awful. I betcha no one can guess what I did!?! :D
Thursday was Jenna’s 15th birthday!! Everybody’s getting their permits before me.... :( Anyways, I had violin lessons, and then we had a 4-H meeting. It was our first one of the year, so we elected officers. I didn’t even know if I even wanted to be in 4-H again, and I’m the President. :) I thought I was going to be the only older girl in 4-H cause it seemed like everyone dropped out, but Kendra & KaraLea joined again! Yay!
I’m not doing anything today, just catching up on my school and doing some cleaning. Tomorrow, Jenna and I are going shopping. YAY! I need some new clothes....
Well that’s all I have to say. Except for, I’ve been home a lot lately, and I’m ready to get out of the house!!!!! So if anyone is up to doing something with me, call me!! I’m desperate!! :D And I really really wish I could’ve gone to Mexico this weekend. :’(

Kid day
Yesterday was a huge kid day!! At 8:30, Ashlyn came, and then at 9:00, the traveling zoo came. (Heidi’s new name for the Fritz kids) They were still all here when I left at 1:00, to go babysit for Jamie. Jamie wasn’t there, and kids were so much better since their mom wasn’t there. I’ll post some pictures of all these cute kids after weekend. :)

Taylor!!
This weekend I went to Taylor. It was a blast, but I didn’t get near enough sleep. On Monday I was so tired I could hardly do my schoolwork, and my back was/is killing me. We left on Friday, and on Saturday we went shopping and then went to the hog roast. Eww. I didn’t even eat the meat; I lost my appetite when I saw the pig. :P Saturday night, Shelby and Madi spent the night too. I only got 2 hours of sleep that night, and on Sunday, I was so tired I was sick to my stomach. The first night I slept in a chair (that explains my back problem). It was so much fun to be with Steph again though. I met a lot of new people, and I love meeting new people. It was tons of fun, and I’m so glad I went. It was the first time I’ve ever been to Taylor, and can’t wait to go back. :)

Random Question
Q: What is my special so-called “talent” that I can do and no one else can (except for a few people) even though they try?
Taffy

During the night Tuesday night, our cute, but old dog, Taffy, died. She stopped eating and drinking the end of last week, and went down hill from there. Her mouth was all bloody, and her eyes were really nasty. We got her to drink a little bit yesterday, but she got way to dehydrated. I checked on her before I went to bed on Tuesday, and as Heidi would say, she was breathing the death rattle. She died in her favorite spot though, under the deck. My dad buried her Tuesday morning behind our shed before going to work. He put bricks around it, and Luke made a cross for it. :) She was 90 years old in dog years, and not very playful, but I'll still miss her. She's the only dog we've ever had, so its kind of a big loss to us. :) She had gray hair. I actually didn't even know that dogs got gray hair. Anyways, now we're fighting over on what kind of dog well get now. I really want a chocolate lab. My mom says we shouldn't even be thinking about it so quick. :) But, we probably won't get one until spring anyways. :(

Linds
Lindsay’s a great cousin!! She has sleepovers for us “little girls,” she plans Schick cousin nights, she’s one of the few people who call me on my cell, and she leaves comments on my blog!! She is also a teacher, she scrapbooks, and she’s healthy. Her classroom is so cute, especially with the “do your best” border. ;) She just bought a new, bigger house, which is exciting cause it means more fun times at Lindsay’s!! She went to Rome, France and I don’t know where else around there this summer. I never did get to see those pictures, Linds.
So that was kind of a random paragraph. I love ya lots, Linds!!
P.S. Anyone have some new ideas??

I love weekends
Friday night, Kendra came over and spent the night. We sat around and talked and ate ice cream and a million raspberries. We were laughing so hard that I kept choking on them!! It was really kinda scary. :) Saturday morning, Kendra and I babysat at Jamie’s brother’s wedding. We went to their house for a little bit, and then we went to Riverside church. We got them ready for the wedding, in their darling outfits. Then we headed to the botanical gardens for pictures, and that’s where the wedding was too. We were at the gardens for 4 hours, and it got really long. They didn’t feed the kids or us lunch, so we were all starving, hot, tired, and everything else that’s miserable. There was really no place to take kids, so we had to change diapers and stuff under a gazebo. Not fun. And what was really bad, the twin’s outfits were all white with green ties. Note: white outfits and boys do not go. The twins were the ring bearers, so we didn’t have them during the wedding, but we had Dillon and Logan. Dillon would not stop crying, so I didn’t see much of the wedding. But, I guess I was there to baby-sit.... not for the wedding. :D It was weird though, cause I kinda knew the Bride. She was home schooled, and used to be in our choir group. Anyways, once we got back to the church for the reception, it was so much easier. We were in AC, and the boys were tired, so they were really calm. We felt kinda dumb cause we were at the parent’s table, and we didn’t really even know the bride or groom. Basically, during the reception we just played with the boys and then we just watched people dance (to the annoying jazz band) and the kids sat on our laps. That was definitely the most relaxing and best part. We finally got home at about 8, and I had 5 blisters on each foot, and my feet were so sore. The next morning, I could hardly wear my shoes for church, and my arm muscles were really sore.
Sunday I went to Jenna’s and hung out. In the evening, we went out to eat, and went to go see Uncle Bill and Aunt Joan at John and Dot’s. Missed ya, Kate!! :(
This morning, I went to the dentist cause I’ve been having really bad toothaches. Turns out, I had a cavity. Annnddd, another one growing!! :\ My very first cavities!!! I wanted to see how long I could go without having one, and it turns out it’s been 14 years!! I guess 13.... cause I didn’t have teeth when I was born.
Have a great one on this freezing fall day!!

Kansas & Bio
This past weekend, we went to Kansas to visit Larry and Jill. We left Friday afternoon, with my family (excluding Heidi). No offense to my family or anything, but it’s kinda boring to travel with them. It makes it seem longer. Saturday we sorta slept in, (It’s kinda hard when you’re sleeping in Brenna’s room and she yells for mom early in the morning) and then the guys went to Albany Days while we ran errands or whatever. After, we went to Albany Days too. I guess it’s a big thing in Bern/Sabetha, but my mom and I sure didn’t think so. :) It might’ve been alright, but it was cold and rainy. So we weren’t there for very long at all. When we came home, it wasn’t nice enough to do anything outside, so I took a nap. When I woke up my aunt and uncle, John and Jeanne were there. That night, we ate supper at about 7, and sat around the table till 9. There is never a dull moment or a boring conversation with Jill there. :) Jill talked a lot about when Heidi was little.... I really wish I was born, and could remember it, cause she sounds like she was quite the child. Very dramatic. Sunday morning, I didn’t feel good at all. So, what did I do? I took oxi-link. It helped, once again and I went to church. We went to Sabetha, and I didn’t know one single person there. After church, we went to the visitation for my Mom’s cousin, Sharon Strahm. In the afternoon, I took a nap, rode the 3-wheeler, and actually read my book. Believe it or not, I’m a very good driver on the 3-wheeler. Even Adam said so, and for Adam to say something like that, you really have to be good at it. :)
Anyways, Monday morning we were going to leave, but since Mom’s cousin died, we stayed for the funeral. Us kids weren’t going to go, but they wanted to leave straight from Sabetha. I watched little kids in the baby room the whole time. Jill said they were my 2nd cousins, but I had never seen them before. I probably have over a hundred 2nd cousins. The way home was long.... Luke was being loud and hyper, so they turned “Hank the Cow Dog” on for the rest of the way home. I think I’m getting used to that or something.... I didn’t mind it as much. Wow, actually liking the listen to “Hank the Cow Dog”.... now that’s a scary thought.
Now I have my days mixed up again. I keep thinking it’s a day earlier. And I’m so behind on my school, cause I didn’t do it in the van. It’s just way too hard to concentrate. I have to do 4 days of Bio...which could take approximately 8 hours. I’m on one of the hardest modules, and I’m not getting it one bit. I have to read it over twice, and it’s taking forever!!
Yesterday I helped Jamie again... the kids weren’t the best yesterday, but the time actually went pretty fast. I took care of the baby a lot, which was probably part of it. Oh, by the way, he’s 5 weeks. I had said earlier he was 3 months.... but he was actually 3 weeks. :) The twin’s birthday was on Thursday, so they had lots of new toys. I think I might actually be getting a little tired of kids...but just a little bit. But of course, I will never get tired of Wes and Laura. :)
So that’s all for now...I need to post something interesting. Any ideas?

Never...
I will never get sick of kids. If so, this was/is the week to test it. Tuesday, I went and helped Jamie (my new job) and played with 3 little boys for 5 hours. When I came home at about 5:00, all the Fritz kids were here. So, I played with them until they left, which was about 9:00. The next morning, Evan came at 7:30am, hyper as can be. He was here all day...but he was really good. I guess I wasn’t with kids that much.... but it has seemed like it. Then, this weekend we’re going to Kansas, so I’ll be with Brenna all weekend. I’m not complaining, I’m just saying I love being with little kids. :)
And never...have I had so many mosquito bites on my feet. I have 6 bites on my two feet, and whenever I put shoes on, they start itching. :S
Never.... have I been so annoyed with crickets. Last night, before bed, I opened my window cause it felt so good out there. During the night, I woke up with the sound of a cricket. I couldn’t sleep it was so annoying. This morning, there was a cricket in-between my window and screen.
And last but not least, I haven’t seen Heidi in such a good mood in a long time. :)

Labor Day Weekend
So, here I go again, telling what I did this weekend. On Friday, I went to Lori’s Scrapbooking workshop. Cliff and Kendra were of course there, so they were a little distraction to me, but I got 3 sides done, which is pretty good for me. Anyways, Kendra was going to spend the night, but she couldn’t, and I was going to go there, but she was so boring and tired, that I decided not to. On Saturday we went to Kohl’s for a little bit, and got some clothes and shoes. Yay!! Then I went to Kendra’s, and we went bike riding, running, and played volleyball. We just hung out all night. And, I accomplished something VERY BIG!!! I got Kendra to eat some sweets!! She’s been on a sugar free diet since last Saturday, and she hasn’t been hyper or hasn’t had as much energy as usually, so she was boring. But, she ate some bars and pie. She seriously then was super hyper while playing volleyball. It was great, she was back to her normal self. We went to bed super early(surprisingly), but talked till late.
Sunday....was of course church. Kendra, Tess, Jenna and kinda me, decided to be on a sugar free diet. We’re gonna see who can go without junk food/sweets until next Sunday. I doubt I’ll stay on it.....but who knows.....Kendra thinks there’s no way I’m gonna do it, but I might do it to show her I CAN do it. :)
Monday morning, I got really sick. But, I took oxi-link and I felt a million times better, and still got to go to Justin and Mindy’s. (See, that stuff really is magic...) We ate lunch, and played baseball all afternoon. I thought I did pretty good for only playing for the second time this summer. We went back and ate supper, and then Jared and Sarah told there story. Now, I need to go study for my Bio test :P and get in the shower. Hope you all had a great weekend too!!

Sleepover!
Friday night, I had a sleepover with all my W-ton friends. Some people couldn’t come, but the ones who could were: Jenna & Jamie, Kendra, Shelly, Emily, Jenna C., and Kara(Lea)!! About half of them came early, but then Jenna C., Shelly, and Kara all came home with Heidi from the Bible Study. Kara had said she couldn’t come, but then Heidi brought her home!! Everybody was hyper. It was really loud....but fun.
We had tons of fun......Ate tons, watched a movie, played v-ball, and talked all night.
On Saturday, I couldn’t sleep in much, cause Kara had to leave early, and she wanted me to make my famous Pillsbury cinnamon rolls. So I got up for that...we just sat around, talked and ate more than I have ever ate in my life. Kendra and Shelly decided to go on a diet...so they stopped eating. After 10 minutes without eating anything.... Kendra goes “Wow, I’m doing really good, I haven’t eaten anything for 10 minutes!!” LOL!! We just sat around until 2, and decided to go to Wal-Mart and do something. I didn’t get anything except for some running shorts. I was gonna put pictures up, but I can’t...so, so much for that.
Anywho...On Sunday we went to Forrest.... if you wanna know about that, ask me through IM or something....:)
Have a great day!!

Only in America...
Only in America...a pizza can get to your house faster than an ambulance.Only in America...are there handicap-parking places in front of a skating rink.Only in America...do we use answering machines to screen calls and then have call waiting so we won't miss a call from someone we didn't want to talk to in the first place.Only in America...do drugstores make the sick walk all the way to the back of the store to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front.Only in America...do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries, and a diet coke. Only in America...do banks leave both doors open and then chain the pens to the counters.Only in America...do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in the driveway and put our useless junk in the garage.Only in America...do we buy hot dogs in packages of ten and buns in packages of eight. Only in America...do we park on a driveway and drive on a parkway.---------------------------------------------------------------------EVER WONDER....Why the sun lightens our hair, but darkens our skin? Why women can't put on mascara with their mouth closed? Why is "abbreviated" such a long word? Why is it that doctors call what they do "practice"?Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor, and dishwashing liquid made with real lemons? Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker? Why isn't there mouse-flavored cat food? Why didn't Noah swat those two mosquitoes? Why do they sterilize the needle for lethal injections? You know that indestructible black box that is used on airplanes? Why don't they make the whole plane out of that stuff?!
Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together? If flying is so safe, why do they call the airport the terminal? In case you needed further proof that the human race is doomed through stupidity, here are some actual label instructions on consumer goods:1. On Sears hairdryer: "Do not use while sleeping".2. On a bag of Fritos: "You could be a winner! No purchase necessary.Details inside".[Evidently, the shoplifter special]3. On a bar of Dial soap: "Directions: Use like regular soap."[And that would be how...?]4. On some Swanson frozen dinners: "Serving suggestions: Defrost."[But it's just a suggestion]5. On Marks & Spencer Bread Pudding: "Product will be hot after heating.[As sure as night follows the day . . . . .]6. On packaging for a Rowenta iron: "Do not iron clothes on body".[But wouldn't this save even more time?]7. On Boot's Children's Cough Medicine: "Do not drive a car or operate machinery after taking this medication".8. On Nytol Sleep Aid: "Warning: May cause drowsiness".[One would hope]9. On most brands of Christmas lights: "For indoor or outdoor use only".[As opposed to what?]10. On Sainsbury's peanuts: "Warning: Contains nuts".11. On an American Airlines packet of nuts: "Instructions: open packet, eat nuts."12. On a child's Superman costume: Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly".

Not such a boring weekend after all
Sunday we had a ton of people over for dessert. Jessica (Fritz) and I played badminton. That was lots of fun. Amber and Holly were there, of course, and as always, bugged me. :) Not an annoying bug though. More like a teasing bug. I love those girls so much...they’re like my little sisters.
Anywho, school starts tomorrow, and I am totally not looking forward to it. Usually I am a little bit, but not this year. I think its because I know I have to work harder since I’m in high school now. It’s also because I don’t want to get up early!! :|
Well, have a great day!!!

Salsa, Swimming & Schicks
I wanted to go to Leo this weekend so bad, but I can’t. I think it might be a pretty boring weekend. :|
Now I’m going to go to Wal-Mart with Hyde. She goes there when she’s bored. It’s pretty pathetic.
Well, have a great weekend!!!

Sunday was good
Jessica came to Washington, and we went in Bible Class. Oh, did I mention that I’m in bible class now? It’s kinda weird.......
Yesterday I was starting to lose my voice, and I could sing really low. It was pretty cool!! I wish I had a voice that low all the time! In the evening, we ordered pizza and made brownies. My cousins came over, ‘cause both of our parents weren’t home. We played volleyball, bad mitten, and were just outside all evening havin’ fun.
So that was my Sunday....
Oh yeah... on Saturday, I got paint for my room....I need some help if I’m going to get it done by this Saturday!!!

Cleaning Out
6/28/01
Today we went to Restmor. That’s where I got mad at Katie. This is the story. We were singing and I said where did you get that shirt. And she said. At camp. She said you should have been there. And I said. Well I don’t really care because I had Jenna Cox spend the night and we camped out. And she said. So I bet I had a lot more fun. And then while the service she said that they went to garage sales, and they bought lipstick and eye shadow. And Katie thought that the eye shadow was perfume. And I laughed. And she punched me in the nose. I am mad at her.
Wow, I must’ve really like periods when I was nine. :)

Just keep swimming, Just keep swimming....*

Me, Kendra, Shelly, Heather & Rebecca.

That night, Shelly, Kendra, and I all went to Splashdown together with the 4-H group.
4-H rented the whole thing out, so it wasn’t near as crowded. I used to think Splashdown was the greatest water park, but once we went to Camel Beach in Pennsylvania, that has 25 slides, a wave pool etc., Splashdown seems kind of boring.
Wednesday, I went swimming again!!! We went to Phil and Jessica’s cause I had to give the girls piano lessons, so why would they come here when they have a pool? :)

Update On My Life
This past week was the 4-H Fair!!! It was fun, but it got a little boring after being there all day every day. Some of my highlights include:
-Being the ice cream ladies with Kendra!! We were really pretty good, but if you ordered a sundae, and it looked awful, that’s because Kendra Rose did it! :)
-Hanging out with Jessica, who I never get to see!!
-Holding Jessica’s adorable puppies!!
Some of my not so highlights:
-Modeling a fleece coat in 90 degree weather
-Feeling like you’re going to faint because of the heat
-Setting up the fair, and cleaning it up
On Friday I had violin lessons. I have a recital coming up this Friday night, and I sound AWFUL!!! Oh well...
After lessons, we got to go and see Reagan, my newest cousin.
When we got home, I cleaned all day...and we did corn. We had to get it all done ‘cause we were having a Bible Study at our house that night. Technically, Heidi was hosting it, but I did all the work. WHOOPS!!! I forgot Kendra. Let me rephrase that.
Kendra and I did all the work. True story. Heidi just chatted online, and was being lazy.
ANYWAYS....
Saturday I just hung out at the pool and watched movies all day. Luke found a wild baby bunny that lost its mother...so it’s in our laundry room, and we feed it milk every once in a while out of a little dropper. I told Luke we should let it go, but he refuses. It’s starting to stink the room up.
I got to go to Kendra’s Sunday after church.... we just hung out...
My back is still absolutely killing me. Any massages are welcome!!
And I’m still looking for volunteers to help me with my room. :) Actually, I don’t think I need them quite yet...I kind of decided I don’t like my bedspread that much anymore. I love Heidi’s, and hers makes mine look not so cute. Speaking of Heidi, she left for Kansas.... I’m so jealous. I was going to go, but I couldn’t leave this week. :’( By the way, Hyde, I adopted your room this week! :D
Oh yes, I can’t forget!
WARNING!! Hyde’s been pretty testy lately; so you better watch out, right Kendra Rose?? ;)
So that’s just kind of an update on my life....

Stuff
Yay for me, I have finished my coat!! I finished it at about 4:00 Monday afternoon, and had it judged at 9:00 am on Tuesday morning! :D It turned out a little too big, but I'll eventually grow into it. Later on Tuesday, they had a fashion revue. I did awful, but who cares?! :)I have such a cheesy smile in this picture!! :P I got an A on my coat, and I find out at the fair if I got anything better than that, which I doubt I did.
After modeling, I went to Kendra's. I hung out there, and then Shelly and I went to her swim meet in Roanoke. As always, I saw lots of people I knew there from my old gymnastics class! Anyways, when Kendra would race, Shelly and I ran to the end of the pool and would cheer Kendra on!! (even though she can't hear you) Kendra lost a relay, which wasn't her fault, and she won one!! Kendra would kill me for putting this on here, but here she is, doing a great job!!
And as always, cute little Cliff!!
On Saturday, I got my bedspread!! I'm so excited, cause now my room won't be the little girly pink anymore! :) I am now looking for volunteers to help me take off wall paper, sand and wipe down walls, and paint. My colors are blue, green, and yellow. I really don't like yellow, but I needed some other color. Anyways, my goal for my room to be done, is my birthday. I hope it will happen by then!!
Next week is 4-H fair week!!! Everyone's invited to it, and if you come Wednesday night, you can see me model my coat!! :) It's Tuesday and Wednesday....Hope to see you all there!!

Indiana
We had a lot of fun on the way home...except for Jenna eating the gross cheddar popcorn! :P We watched "A Cinderella Story" and listened to Jenna's ipod. It flew by, unlike the way out, with Uncle Ted in the same van as us.

My Vacation
A morning's catch
Me tubing! (My hair is all wind blown, it was really windy that day)Well, I'm back. I've been back for quite a few days, but I never got around to posting this. Sorry the pictures are kinda weird, I couldn't get them to cooperate. Anyways, we went to Northern Wisconsin to this little town called St. Germain. We went to a lake and fished, tubed, and relaxed. We went with my Uncle Rob and Aunt Lily and there family. Heidi and Elise didn't go, so it got a little boring. For one, I'm a social bug, Northern Wisconsin is not. I became a big fisherman (or lady)! I put my own worms on and took off my own fish! *takes a bow* First time I've ever done any of that. But the bad thing was, I only caught one actual fish. I caught way more than that but none of them weren't big enough! :(
Me and my fish!!If I wasn't fishing, I was watching movies. I got to watch the Loves Come Softly series again! Note: you do not want to watch that with the guys...They totally ruin a love story!! Anyways, I think the guys watched enough Andy Griffith. We had 5 CD's and they watched them all! :P Every night at supper, they would quote Andy Griffith. Anyways...tubing was a lot of fun. It always looks like a blast when they whip ya off of the tube...So I decided I wanted too. Well, I never did...:( I guess you have to weigh a lot for that. We only got to go one day because the other days it was too cold. One night, the guys(Micah, Josh, & Adam) let me go fishing with them. They always act like they're the best fisherman etc. etc. Well, It turned out, I was better than they were! :) The night of the fish fry, we had a campfire and roasted smores and the guys played there guitars. Luke and I went on the dock and fished until 10:30. That was really fun, but I got a million mosquito bites! We always get a lot of those in Wisconsin...Last year, Hyde got 32! Another thing that they have a lot there, is ticks! :P I got one stuck on my toe, and it would not come off! Thankfully, we didn't have to use a match or anything. I found a lot of them, but only one was stuck to me. phew! If you don't know me, I hate bugs...so that really grossed me out. The last night we're there, we always go out to eat. We went to a really fancy restaurant. I don't think I've ever been to that fancy of a restaurant ever. It was a humongous log cabin and had tons of mounted animals. On the way home, I rode with the guys, and they put the seats down, got out there guitars and played almost the whole way home. I serioulsy had a headache. Well, that's all for now!

Kansas

This weekend I went to Kansas with the Bible Class. I didn't actually go WITH the bible class...I stayed at Jill and Larry's. But, I could've cause I'm considered a Freshman now. I went with them on Sunday, but that's all. Katy, Michelle, Kendra and I all had a blast on the bus. The bus was so empty that we each got our own bench to ourselves. There was even extra seats left. I think the bus trip was more fun than actually being in Kansas. Anyways...Michelle, Heidi, and I stayed at Jill and Larry's. Brenna is so cute. She is soo obsessed about pink. We were reading a book, and if anything in the picture was pink she had to point it out. She's also into the word awesome. She just started it when we got there. Kyle got all these pens, and he pours them out and she goes, AWESOME!!! Then we went over to the neighbors and they have a pool, and she looks at it, and says AWESOME!!! She said it to every thing. It was hilarious. And as always, Jill and Larry made fun of me. They always make fun or comment on how little I eat (which has changed...)(not a good thing) or how "healthy" I am. This time, they made fun of how I take oxi-link. Seriously, I could not live without that stuff. It's my life saver. Kendra and Michelle refer it to "the toilet bowl cleaner." Anyways...I had fun, and on the way back we were soo slap happy and laughed at every thing. We sang, talked (while having 4 people on a bench) and laughed. Great Times.

My Weekend
Sunday, we went out to eat with all the Pfaffmann's to Kenyon's. It's my Grandma's favorite place because of there great corn fritters. So we went there and then went to Uncle Ken and Aunt Sandy's for desert. Oh yeah, on Sunday, Nate and Lynette announced that they are expecting! Isn't that exciting? Since I'm a baby freak, I get very excited when my cousins announce that they're expecting.
Well, that's all for now!

Giant Schnauzer's
Intelligence: The giant is a working dog. You will be amazed at how quickly they learn. Originally bred to serve man, they take to training very well. While your giant learns quickly, occasionally it uses that intelligence to figure out clever ways to avoid obeying or complying to your command. They feel they have a better idea. Giants can even be selective about who gives commands - obeying those from someone considered to be dominant and ignoring those from someone of lesser rank.
Energetic:The giant is a vigorous breed and needs lots of exercise. Their approach is often one of great force and gusto. Obviously the stronger you are, the more likely you will be able to cope with a giant. They need walks, playtime, or jogging. If they do not get enough exercise, they will make up their own. Running back and forth through the house with toys, chasing the kids and/or getting underfoot are some of the ways giants signal their restlessness. Simply putting a giant "in the yard" for exercise is not enough. A giant puppy is a bundle of energy and needs plenty of exercise.
If you want a giant, consider carefully whether you can meet the extensive requirements to keep him well and happy. You must give the giant the necessary, socializing, training, and guidance which such a dynamic dog needs to be their best. However, if the giant can fulfill your requirement for a protective, loyal and obedient pet and you can meet their requirements for socializing, training, exercise, grooming and above all, love, we recommend the Giant Schnauzer to you.
I think it would be tons of fun to have a Giant Schnauzer if it was as fun as Koal. But, not every Giant Schnauzer has the same personality.
Finally I wrote something a little more interesting!!

What's Your Name Mean?
Saturday is cleaning at Congregate Living. The Young group invited the 7th and 8th graders to do it with them. I'm trying to decide if I should go or not....I don't think any of my friends are going, but I'm trying to convince Jenna to come and Kendra's might come. I don't know....maybe I won't come, maybe I will.
Sorry my blog is so boring. I really have nothing exciting in my life.

NEW!
Today all the Fritz kids came. I watched Wes and we played outside scrubbing screens, hauling sticks in the lawn mower, etc. etc. In case no one knows, I'm crazy about kids (and babies). That's why I'm looking for a babysitting job that's pretty consistent. I hardly EVER get jobs and I need one! So, if you know of someone give them my name and let me know! :)
I better finish my schoolwork....If you look @ this would you please leave a comment? Thanks!
