Going back a couple of weeks...

The week before Christmas was full of piano stuff. The pictures are in the opposite order than they should be:

On Wednesday night(12/17) was the Christmas Open House @ my piano teachers house.

Me & Mrs. Schupp playing a duet together

The night before that,(Tuesday) was Amber & Holly's (my piano students) Christmas recital at my house. It was the 4th recital I've had for the girls. The recital used to be pretty short, but now their songs are getting longer so it's lengthier now! I wish I had more students. :) Anyways, they did an amazing job, with hardly any mess-ups! Afterwards, we always have a big table full of food. I'm pretty sure that's the best part and that's what everybody comes for. :D
The week started off on Monday with playing at Kidder Music. They give you a $5 gift certificate for coming to play, and it's totally worth it. I got an amazing new Lorie Line Christmas book while I was there. :)

Glad it's all done for another year, but now I have a competition, more piano testing, and another recital coming up. AND orchestra starts.
Oh, well... at least I love it!

Skiing!

Yesterday (Monday) I went skiing for the first time. I wasn’t too sure if I wanted to go or not, because I didn’t know if I’d like it. BUT... I LOVED it!! It was such a fun day.
I had to get up at 4am(doesn’t that sound fun?) and then we left from Uncle Scott’s at 5:30. A big group went, but we were just kind of by ourselves. It was Uncle Scott, Jenna, Jamie, Adam, Eric & I. We went to Sundown in Dubuque, Iowa and got there about 9.

I took a lesson, and fell only once! The whole day was so fun... I wasn’t even that cold until the end. I pretty much just hung out with Jamie (Uncle Scott sometimes, too) because we were the only skiers...Adam, Jenna & Eric snowboarded.

When it got dark and the temperatures dropped, I wiped out a lot because the snow turned into ice. Ouch. I have a huge blue/purple bruise on my knee and my back kind of aches, but other than that, I’m not even that sore today! Just extremely tired.

We stopped in Galesburg for supper and didn’t get back to Morton until about 10:30.
It was a great day (thanks Uncle Scott!)... I only took 2 pictures, but I’ll post some when Jenna emails hers to me. :D

And I’ll also post about Christmas sometime...

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Grandma's 85th birthday was yesterday! We celebrated it last night at my Uncle John & Aunt Jeanne's.
Happy Birthday Gramm's!
Love you!

John's 2nd Birthday!

Last Sunday was John (& Amber's) birthday party! Johnny LOVED it! It was soo cute. He got lots of balls, which he liked better than anything else, because he's obsessed about them! :)
He had a bear cake, because he loves bears. Great job Lynette!
OH, he's just too sweet.

Congrats, Hyde!

Last Saturday (the 13th) Heidi graduated from Methodist College of Nursing!! (I know, this post is a little belated!) Here's a few pictures:

Heidi walking in.
Receiving her diploma (not a very good picture, I know!)

Heidi & Luke... so glad she's done! :)

The ceremony was at 10, so afterwards we went shopping and then out to eat at Longhorn Steakhouse. It was soo good! (Us kids at the resturant)
We went to our house for dessert afterwards. It was a fun day. CONGRATULATIONS, HEIDI! :)

Happy B-day 2 Jenny...

Have a great one, Jenny!

Cinnamon Rolls

I betcha can't guess what I did today...! Yep, I made 9 pans of Cinnamon rolls. It was a double batch and it took 10 cups of flour. Which didn't seem like much, since I've done a batch with 20 cups of flour before! (yeah, that was a whoops!)
I've done it so many times, but it seemed like today took forever to do them all! Probably because I was trying to get them to taste and look perfect for the Sunday School teachers gifts. :)
I'm tired now.
Let your mouth drool over the pictures.

cutest picture ever

We got this Christmas card in the mail... and it's definitely my favorite one we've gotten so far!! :) Ernie is just too cute. Lester is only 3 months old and is soo chubby.

My weekend was good. Not real exciting, but definitely not boring.

I got to babysit for Wyatt & Wade. Just so you know, Nancy... you have the most adorable little boys! :)

Saturday night the Young Group was here for the Christmas Party. I got to play Settlers with Jenny... finally!

Sunday night was church caroling. I've always loved going with my friends, and the yummy meal afterwards. :)
This week is pretty busy. Tonight I was supposed to go to BroMenn hospital in Bloomington and play violins with a big group of people, and then we were going to go shopping. BUT... Mom & Dad thought it was too icy to go and that it was gonna get worse. :( I was disappointed we didn't go.
But I guess I now have a whole evening to do stuff that needs to get done!
Have a good week!
p.s. I'll try to not just blog about kids. I know, it's pathetic. Just wait till I get some nieces & nephews!!

Festival of Lights!

During Thanksgiving weekend, there was the Festival of Lights Parade! Since it goes past my Dad's shop, it's always been a family tradition to go there on the Saturday after Thanksgiving with my Uncle Rob & Aunt Lily. After seeing it so many times, it gets kind of boring. But this year, we had lots of people come out and join us!! Lynette and the kids, Lindsay, Aunt Carol, the Lemans, and some of the Wyss's. Here are some of the pictures (thanks Lynette, for sending me them!).

Linds, Me & Johnny
I love Laura's face! She looks so excited.

Waiting for the parade to start:
Heidi, Kendra, Me(& Johnny), Lynette, Linds, Laura & Aunt Carol

The duck float

Laura- lovin' it.

John- look scared half to death the whole time and was motionless!

Afterwards, some of them came to our house for pizza (not the Leman's or the Wyss's).
It was a fun night. :)

Friday, December 05, 2008

I'm having difficulties with uploading a couple of pictures, so here is just a few. :)

I only have one picture from Thanksgiving, and I didn't even take it. It's pathetic.... I need to get in the picture taking mood again....
and of course the only picture is of ERNIE!

The day after Thanksgiving we set up our Christmas tree and decorations. yay! Here's a bad picture of me and Luke setting the tree up.

Yesterday I babysat Laura & John. They were really good and I got tons done while they were here. Probably because they both took naps... even Laura! She was playing "house" with Adam and they were pretending they were going to sleep in the little play house, and Laura actually fell asleep! When she woke up she didn't feel good and just layed around. She had a fever and her tummy hurt. Sorry to send home sick, Lynette! :\

Happy Birthday to little Johnny who is turning 2 tomorrow!! (and he has no idea, haha!) aahh, I just love this little guy!

I should...

write a post about my WONDERFUL Thanksgiving weekend.... but I'm really not in the mood to do so.
I'm really tired and all I want to do is read my book.

But, I can't. I have gobs of school and some cleaning to do....

Actually, I think I'm going to read it anyways.... I'm almost done with it!(shhh, don't tell my mom!) :D

I'm going to post some pictures this weekend....... so keep checking! :)
Have a great day!

[fyi, this post is rare... I don't usually like reading. But I've been into it lately! :) Probably because I'll do anything to NOT do school.I'M SICK OF IT!!!!]

And the weekend is finally here! Except it's going to be a little dissapointing becase I'm going to have to do some homework. :(

p.s. anybody know how to get the pyzam thing off the top?
Cuz it's not a pyzam background anymore.

I can't wait till this weekend....

My weekend was good, but I bet Thanksgiving weekend will be even better. I just can't wait!! It was so easy to start school this week because I know I only have to do it 3 days! And then after Thanksgiving, we get to put all our decorations and our put our tree up! (we have a fake one) I'm soo excited! I love this time of year!!

(sorry for all the exclamation marks!)

So what I did this weekend:

Friday night I babysat.

Saturday morning I read my book and studied for my piano exam. In the afternoon I went babysitting, and then went to cousins night at Luke and Heidi's. We did karaoke...it was fun. Thanks guys! :)

Sunday after church I had my piano exam at ICC, and after I was done with my testing, I helped out with it. I'm pretty sure I failed it.... :\

I made supper Sunday night because my parents were gone. We had hamburgers. YUM. They were delicous.

yeah, so it wasn't too exciting.

Amazing!

Check this out! This girl is only 5 years old and she is playing the piece that I'm working on. And she plays it PERFECTLY! So jealous....

It went good, I guess. Mom only took two pictures, so here they are:

Our whole orchestra: (you can't really see me) Me and my violin teacher, Kalsey.

I was going to post pictures of the AC Amazing Race that our Bible Class did this weekend, but I left my camera there. So, when I get it back, I promise I'll post pictures!!

THE PHONE

The Inside
The outside

Here's a few pictures of the phone. It really didn't do too much damage to it. Just melted the screens and intenna. :) And ruined it.

I know, this is crazy how many posts I've done this weekend!!

Wendi Wendi Wendi

Here's a video of Johnny saying Wendi. It's not very good or clear. This one's for you, Jenna!!
(o, and I was trying to get him to say gross. :)

Dusting & Nightmare

So I was dusting a litttle bit today and my mom comes up to me and says,
"What's the occasion?"

"Mom, there does not have to be an occasion to dust!"

Mom, just so ya know, we do not have to be having company in order to dust.

****************************************************
Tonight I babysat. (I actually still am... the kids are in bed!) They settled down after a couple of nightmare hours... and this is why it was such a nightmare:
Have you ever had a kid:

put a cell phone in the microwave? In case you were wondering, it totally ruined it. And it smells terrible. I haven't tried to turn the phone on, but I'm pretty sure it won't work.

Or play with matches?

Or sprinkle glitter all over the place and then make even more of a mess trying to clean it up so there parents don't find out?

Ok, I'm going to stop there.... :) I must say I almost felt like crying at one point.

I love hiking

This fall our family has been into hiking. About a month ago, we went to Starved Rock. It was really pretty, but the trails were kind of a bummer. They had board walks thru the woods and steps going up the hill. It didn't really feel like hiking.

But just this past Sunday we went to Farmdale Park with some families. We ended up getting lost and had quite the adventure! We climbed up a really steep hill thinking it would get us back... but when we got up there we found out that there was no way to go but down. Later, we came to a really wide creek and we knew that if we got across it, we would be back to our vehicles. So we all rolled up our pants and took off our shoes & socks and waded thru the ice cold water. Thankfully it wasn't very deep!

I wish it would stay warmer longer so we could go explore more places! :)

Here's just a couple pictures from Starved Rock:
It would've been really pretty with the leaves colorful, but it was such a late fall this year, that they hadn't started changing yet.

What's the difference?!

Between white & yellow popcorn? I mean, seriously!

About a month ago, my mom asked me to pick some popcorn up at the store (not microwave). When I got home she was like, "Oh, you got yellow popcorn? Next time be sure and get white."

My dad made it just the other night and the first thing he said to me, "Who got yellow popcorn?"
"Me."
"Next time make sure you get white."

Well, guess what.... they taste the same to me!!!

What do you think makes them different?

I lost a game of settlers tonight :|

This was weekend was a good & busy one... and amazingly enough, I didn’t babysit at all!

Friday I went to Kendra’s and scrapbooked. I stayed all night, and the next morning we went shopping in Bloomington. Kendra didn’t have much luck, but I got few things. We got home kind of late, and rushed around to get ready to serve at the Eureka Benefit Dinner. As usual, we had to wait around forever and then the serving part only lasts 15 or 20 minutes. I went back to Kendra’s and hung out, and then went to U. John & A. Jeanne’s because some of Mom’s cousins were there. We kept one of them(and her daughters and granddaughters) overnight.

Sunday U. Ken & A. Sandy served... so we got to go Eureka! :P Again! But it’s not near as bad when Ernie & Lester are there. :)
We went out to eat at Sol Ez Teca Sunday night and then went to Grandma’s. She had a lot of people visiting her! (great to see ya, Aunt Sandy!)

Monday Laura & John were here all day. Every time I went out of Johnny’s sight, he’d say, “Wendi, Wendi, Wendi!” And my heart melts every time he says it. He doesn't talk much, and he knows "Wendi" out of all those other words! :D

DOG NEWS:
Missy went to a new home on Saturday. My cousin Jared & Sarah took her. They live on a farm and they don’t have kids, so I think it will be a good place. But we still kinda have a problem. Maggie is lonely and all she does is bark at night, so we have to put her in the garage. It gets really annoying.

So Friday I'm going to a cookout and we're suppossed to come in costume. But it also needs to be warm. I really don't want to buy anything... at least not much. If you have any ideas, leave a comment!

Yes, the title is true.... I was very dissapointed.. If anyone would like to play with me, come on over! Nobody ever wants to... :(

JENNA -17!!

Happy Birthday, Jenna! (a week late...)

So yesterday(Friday) I was going babysitting until 7, and I asked Jenna to come along. I picked her up, and when I dropped her off, she told me to come inside. Her dad told her to come up in her room... and when we did........ SURPRISE!!!! All her friends were there. :) She's like, "Wendi, did YOU know about this?" Yep, sure did. That's why I asked to come babysitting with me. :D She was verry surprised, and I'm glad she didn't find out. :)
We did a road rally, and then just hung out and sang High School Musical on the Wii. It was fun.... Hope you had a good SURPRISE birthday, Nenna!
Jenna,
There was so many pictures of us two, I didn't know which one's to use! :)

My turn

So I've been tagged. I really don't know what to share as my facts about myself, but here it goes:

1. I need a lot of sleep... I'm not really a night owl, and I'm def. NOT a morning person. If I had to choose one, I would def. say I'm more of an night owl... but not always. Sometimes I'm the first one to go to bed in our family(besides dad). I need about 10 hours each night to really feel rested up. And I love naps. I guess I'm a Schick. :)
2. I cannot stand pop. It just amazes me that people say how they can't live without their polar pop or whatever. Now, Coffee, I can see! But yeah, I've never been a fan of pop/soda.
3. I love the piano with a passion. I absolutely love going to the music store and getting a new book. I pretty much collect them.... my current count it 61, all in the basket of my bedroom next to my keyboard. :) That's just the books that are my level... I have another basket full of books that are too easy for me.
4. I have naturally curly and wavy hair(comes from my Dad!). I straighten it a lot... but when I'm in a hurry or lazy, I let it go curly.
5. I LOVE hugs! If someone gives me a hug, it pretty much makes my day. I even have a shirt that says, "FREE HUGS." But it seems like not very many people take the shirt seriously. : lol
6. I love kids\babies....and I'm always hauling them around in church or just playing with them. Jessica always tells me I'm gonna be too worn out by the time I have my own. :) Every time my friends see me with a kid\baby, they just roll their eyes.
7. I'm one of those people who make their bed everyday, even though they're going to sleep in it again that night. I haven't always done it, but I think I'm kind of turning into a neat freak. My room is always picked up, too. (it used to never be that way!)
I wanted to come up with some really random and weird facts, but I didn't feel like thinking that long, trying to come up with some. I don't really want to tag people, but I'm going to tag a few: Katie, Linds, & Luke.
Honestly, I'll be surprised if I see them actually do it! :)

Applesauce Day

I am now totally and completly sick of it. Even the smell.

Today Jessica(& kids), Lynette(& kids), Heidi, and us did it this afternoon.

We did 6 bushels of applesauce and we had a total of 115 containers.
With 15 people here.
It only took 6 hours.

I mostly helped with the kids, and didn't help much with the apples... and it was a little crazy at times(especially lunch time!) and the house is kind of a mess... but it was kind of fun. :) Makin' memories, I guess. :)

Johnny can now say my name! :) I feel so honored. :D

So, that's all that is new with me.
The weekend wasn't real exciting... I pretty much just babysat.

Hope you all have a good week!!

lackadaisical

......was one of my vocab words this week. I have never heard of it before (no surprise there, I'm terrible with words), but everyone else has. I think it's such a cool word... so fun to say! Just in case you don't know what it means:
lackadasical - showing little spirit or enthusiasm.

my weekend, ironing & the grandfather's clock

Not a real exciting weekend, but any weekend without school is still really great. :)

Friday night we went to U. John & A. Jeanne's and had supper and spent the evening there with Grandma, because that's where she's staying for the time being.

Saturday morning I did some ironing that DESPERATELY needed to be done. I keep telling Grandma that she better hurry up and get moving around so she can do our ironing! She always did it, and the closet has gotten quite full of clothes this summer. My Mom never irons (I'm not sure why...) so it's all up to me, and I can never keep up with it. I really don't mind it, I just never have the time. :) Anyways, enough about ironing.

Saturday afternoon/evening I babysat for 7 hours. I discovered(and should've known) that giving 4 little boys baths is quite the hassle! Even though I was pretty tired afterward, I had fun with the kids.

Sunday night was Uncle Tom & Aunt Carol's annual Schick wiener roast. It was the usual: hotdogs, smores, hot apple cider, hayrack ride, Lynette's AMAZING pasta salad, and being cold. :)

Monday I had two babysitting jobs. I just love babysitting. LOVE IT! I love the kids. I love getting to know the family. And least of all, there's the money. Seriously, like Lindsay said in her blog... I do it and when they hand me the money... it's like, oh! I get paid!? [I'm being a copycat here :D But it really IS true. ]

Oh, GREAT news! You know our big Grandfather Clock in the foyer that just sits there and doesn't even work? Well, Mom moved it this weekend to clean behind it, and afterwards she wound it. Well, it is now working perfectly! It's the strangest thing... it hasn't worked since we've moved in the house we're in now. I've never seen it work, so it's kinda exciting. :)

One last thing:
Is it just our computer or is my blog messed up? It's all totally pink/orange on my computer. Leave a comment and let me know... cuz I'll fix it if it is.

Love you all, and have a great week!

2 dog too many

It's been dog chaos here lately.

Last Saturday afternoon, Missy was barking viciously at the neighbor right against her invisible fence line (she can't pass it without getting shocked). The neighbor(we'll call him Bob) got really upset at Luke and was like, "I can't even work in my own yard!" and was even cussing at him! Bob came over to our yard and Missy bit him on the leg! Bob was REALLY upset then. Poor Luke! He was the only one outside dealing with all this. I'm not quite sure why Bob came over to our yard when Missy was acting as mean as she was. The vet says that she was scared and was trying to defend herself.... which I think might be true, because Bob hasn't been real nice to Missy lately. Bob then came to our front door and Dad talked to him. He told Dad that Missy's been barking right toward his bedroom window about every night for a long time, and it's driving him and his wife crazy! (don't ask me why he didn't tell us this sooner.) The bite was pretty bad.. he had blood running down his leg and Dad said you could see teeth marks. So, Dad said we need to get rid of Missy and do it right away. That evening we took her over to my Uncle & Aunt's house for the time being. We thought that was that, and all we had to do was find Missy a new permanent home.

On Monday, the Animal Control called and said that we have to take Missy to the vet for an examination, keep her in a garage or pen for 10 days, and take her back to the vet later for another examination. It's the law, and they have to do it for the rabies thing. THANKFULLY, we took Missy to the vet for all her shots just about a month and a half ago. We thought it was so stupid that Bob had called the Animal Control... but he had to go to the doctor for the bite because he has a heart problem and blah blah blah blah..........but the doctors office was going to call the Animal control if Bob wasn't going to.

ANYWHO, we took Missy to the vet, brought her back here, and have been kept her chained up or in the garage. She can't stand it. Poor thing! 6 days down only 4 more to go!!

In other words:

FREE
FEMALE AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERD
Is very devoted to her owners, but can be snippy with strangers, and is not always real fond of them (although she loves some!)
CALL w/any questions!

We have to sell her if we ever want peace with our neighbors. :( I'm very sad......

On a brighter and not as boring note...
I had another good weekend. I enjoy them soo much more during the school year... it's a great break from school!

Friday night Kendra spent the night. We actually did schoolwork together.... we usually don't accomplish much, but we did this time! And of course, I was shortened on sleep.
Saturday day was not so good, but Saturday night I babysat. Until 12:30. I was dead Sunday morning. But I had to keep going, because after church I played the piano for 2 hours at Katelyn Fehr & Mark Stoller's wedding reception. Then I headed on over to ACYF in Tremont. That was pretty good.

I've been meaning to write this week, but it's now another weekend!! YAY!!!!

For Jenny

So writing an entry for my blog has been in the back of my mind for a long time. But school is much more important, so of course I need to get that done first. But here I am with my school not done, and I'm writing a blog.

It seems like I say this all the time, but it's been so long that I'm not sure where to start. Here's a few things that have happened since my last post:

--I can now legally drive by myself. It's not such a big deal to me now, like I thought it was gonna be before I had my license. ..but I still very much enjoy it. :) I have to share a car with Adam, but it seems like I'm usually the one driving the van since he has the car. :P

--Orchestra started! We have a new director... and he's kind of odd, but yet he's really good. I got 4th chair, 1st violin! I was very excited and surprised.

--Grandma came home from the hospital! Us kids have been over there a lot, since someone has to be there most of the time to stay with her... so if Mom's there, we usually go too. Last week my dad was on business, so we all stayed there for the week. She's been having a lot of trouble with nasuea, dry heaves and gagging.. but she's having a procedure done tomorrow that will hopefully cure that.

--We went to Kansas for a short weekend to vist Jill & Larry's family. Kayla was sweet as ever, and Brenna was her usual silly self! On Saturday they had this "Albany Days," which the boys loved. Albany used to be a town, so they have a schoolhouse, train station, museum and post office you can tour. But there's also lots of tractors and they have a tractor pull too. I wasn't real fascinated by it, like the boys... and I was ready to leave a few minutes after we got there. But we were there for a couple hours, and then us girls left (thankfully!).
We really didn't do much the whole weekend... but who needs to do something when you have Jill around to talk to?! It was Trenton's birthday on Saturday, so we made him a lego cake and celebrated that night. We got there Friday afternoon and had to leave Sunday after church. :( When we went back to their house to change, we begged Dad to stay until Monday... but he had to get home so he could leave on business. :( The way home went really long...

That's about all of the highlights. This past weekend was great. Friday night I went Scrapbooking at Kendra's, Saturday I was in the Pumpkin Parade with Aaron Schock, went babysitting, and then went to the Bible Class Luau. That was really fun. (thanks, Aunt Dawn!) Ultimate Frisbee is now my new favorite game/sport.....

Adam started repenting this week. I was very schocked, but I'm very excited for him. :)

Alrighty, well I need to go get ready for Orchestra tonight! Have a great weekend!

HYDE -21!

I know, I know... birthday posts are probably getting a little boring and old. But, since Heidi's my sister I have to do a post for her. Her birthday was July 22nd... I'm just about a month behind. :)
But.. HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, HYDE!

A post dedicated to Luke

Because I didn't post a birthday picture for Luke, and it's been a long while since his birthday... here's a whole post dedicated to you, Luke!
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY! :)

4-H Fair Week

This past week was the 4-H fair. It was ok... not as fun as some years, but definetly still fun.
The heat was just marvelous. :P

I took:
Woodworking I - I made an adirondack chair-- I got a blue/A.
Yeast Breads - I made dinner rolls -- I got a blue/A
Photography II - I took pics of animals at the Phoenix zoo -- I got a blue/A
Scrapbooking - Lindsay helped me --- I got a blue/A AND a superior/purple

Since Linds was the one who helped me on my Scrapbooking, I think she was more excited than me that I got a purple! :) As always, the food there is junk food, but still as tasty as ever! :)
Tuesday night we got rained/stormed out. They told everyone to leave... and everyone left at the same time and it was crazy with all the traffic!

Although I look forward to the fair, I'm so glad it's done.... now I don't have to worry about working on my projects! There is some girls in our county, and between the 3 of them, they took 78 projects!.... and they win everything too. Gets kind of annoying, really.

Well... that's all I have to say. I felt like updating, but I didn't really know what to say. :)

Have a good weekend!

St. Louis

Saturday the Bible Class took a bus up to Saint Louis and went to the City Museum and Union Station. It was a lot of fun and I'm soo glad I went. The trip there and back was fun, but I LOVED the City Museum!! They have a 3 story jungle gym, and bunch of other stuff too, but mostly what I did was go in the caves. It was pitch black in most of them and you could hardley fit thru the tunnels half the time. There were 3 story slides, a skateless skatepark, and too many other things to list. There's a lot inside, but there's also some outside. I'll have to post pictures so you can see. :) All the stuff is made out of 100% recylced material, and it's so artistic lookin'. I would go back in a heartbeat! (Jenna & I decided we should go there with all the Schicks and take a bus down, too. )

We went to Union Station for a while after the museum, which was neat, but not near as fun. We headed back pretty early and stopped at Monicals in Springfield for supper.

Hopefully, I'll post pictures of it one of these days...(I know, I know... I always say that!)

Update on Grandma

Most of you who read my blog, you're family, so you probably know about what's up with Grandma... but just in case someone else reads this, this is what is new:

Wow, a lot has happened since then. She had surgery for her stomach cancer on Monday the 23rd of June to remove part of her stomach and some lymph nodes. They ended up having to take out more of her stomach than was planned. They also had to take out her spleen and quite a bit of tissue from her abdominal cavity. (haha, sorry Heidi) Besides a lot of pain at first, she was doing fairly well. But the next Sunday she got pneumonia and a staff & strep infection in her blood. She was really not doing well for a while, and everything was just kinda up and down for a couple weeks, but has just now started to really pop back. She was in ICU for 3 weeks, and finally got to move out just this past Tuesday. She was able to eat a little yesterday without getting sick like before. Hopefully she will get to go home in a couple weeks. I'm sure she'd still appreciate your prayers.

But things were kind of crazy around here, and are finally calming down a little. I haven't been the "mom" as much lately as I was at first. But a BIG THANK YOU to whoever reads this, and brought us food. It helped us out tremendously! And I didn't have to cook!! :)
