boring stuff

I've been doing pretty bad with my blog updates lately. Probably because I really don't have anything exciting going on and I haven't been taking any pictures. But here's a few random updates on my life: :D

I now kind of have a job!!! I'm doing the book work for my cousins who have a huge hog farm. It's just one day a week for however long it takes me to get stuff done... but still. It's kind of a job besides babysitting. :)
I know this sounds crazy, but I would love to work at Lindy's. Or the library.... maybe someday. :)

Today I had AIM(a piano testing) at ICC. I took Kandace & Lydia too... and I kinda felt like a mom. Making sure they had their books, get to the right room, assure them that they'll do fine.... etc. :) I don't think I did too horrible. At least not compared to some years. But yea, I get my score on Tuesday.
Oh yeah, and coming out of ICC I did something I've never done before. The road going to ICC is one way. And I drove the opposite way I was suppose to. So I was driving along and Lydia is like... "Why does it say wrong way?" So I quick did a Uee (however you want to spell it :) because a car was coming straight towards me. Whoops!

As for my weekend, I didn't do much. Friday night was the Mennonite Relief Sale and I worked at that. Kendra stayed here, and on Saturday we baked a lot and ran errands because we served today at church. So really not too exciting. :) Oh, and tonight we went to Grandma's and a lot of the Schick's were there.

So it's Sunday night and I don't want to go to bed because I'll have to wake up to school and cleaning, because we're having a shower here Tuesday. :S And I just hate Monday's. Period.

But I hope YOU have a good Monday, and the rest of the week! I know mine is going to be busy....

Finally... it's warm!!

I'm not sure why I always post about my weekends, because they're really not very exciting. But since I have pictures I've just got to post them with this fast internet. :) Anywho, here goes the usual weekend review. :)

Friday I went scrapbooking for just a couple of hours and then went babysitting for our neighbors. They're moving, so I was glad I went for probably one of the last times. :

The kids were good as usual, and I babysat until midnight. Good thing they're just a couple of doors down and I didn't have to drive 20 minutes home like I usually do with babysitting jobs. (whoa, that was kind of a run-on sentence)

Saturday I didn't do much. The Bible Class went to Kendra & Clayton's for supper and games that night, so I went. It was really fun, but I think we played the whop or name game (everyone calls it different) way too long. I was sad I didn't get to play Settlers because I had to be home by 11. :

Sunday night all the Schick's (althought a lot were missing) went to U. John & A. Jeanne's because Jill & Larry are back. So cute, except Brenna looks sick or something in this picture!

Johnny wasn't there because he was sick. I was so sad! :( I miss him, Lynette! Need a babysitter after he's better? :)

Anyways, so that's what I did this weekend. Now it's time to get outside and enjoy this beautiful weather!!

25 Random Things

Everyone was doing this on Facebook a month ago. I've decided to do it on my blog instead! So here ya go:

1. I love naps. Except when you wake up from them and feel more tired than before... that’s no fun.

2. I really want to start learning the flute. I think I might start lessons this summer when I’m not so busy.

3. I’m all about food. :) Just ask my mother.... At lunch I always have a variety of different sides, and my family likes to make fun of me. Probably because I’m usually the only one who even eats lunch at this house.

4.Speaking of food, I like burnt things... most of the time. Burnt french fries, burnt cheese, etc. Not burnt toast though. :)

5. I like to get dressed up. :)

6. I love it when I get out of the shower and the mirror is totally fogged up and the room is full of steam :)

7.I hate pie.... I know, you probably all think I’m crazy. I don’t like too many desserts, period... just cookies or ice cream are fine with me.

8.Even though you might not find my room and bathroom real organized, I LOVE to organize and BE organzied. Of course, who doesn’t?


9.I always buy something before I need it. For instance... I’ll see I’m getting low on shampoo, toothpaste, or whatever...and buy a new one. But I usually like the new item I got better than the one that was getting low. So I start using the new one, and put the old one in the cupboard, and I now have a whole stock of stuff. :)

10. Everyone asks me what I’m going to do after High School. I don’t know, there’s too many options....I just want to be a MOM.

11. Every time I’m on the computer typing, I cock my head to the left. Yea, I’m doing it right now.

12.I hate unmade beds. They make the room look messy.

13.I’m a really nosy person.... but I try not to show it. :D

14. I absolutely love walks. Especially on a beautiful day like today.

15. I drive really slowly at night. Probably because I’m usually really tired.

16. I love going to the music store. I could spend hours there.

17.I love Mexican food! When we were in Mexico a year and a half ago I just loved all the meals. And the guacamole and fresh salsa was soo yummy.

18.I’m never going to own a dog to call my own. Unless it’s already trained and everything when I buy it... that might be an exception. I really do love dogs, but after all we’ve had to deal with ours, I’ve decided they’re not worth the trouble AND money.

19.I haven’t thrown up since I was 7.

20.For those who know what oxi-link is (and like to tease me about it), I haven’t taken it for probably almost a year. :)

21. I could eat cheesy scrambled eggs with toast every single morning and I’d never get sick of them. NEVER.

22. Speaking of breakfasts, my mom makes us a good breakfast every morning. Sometimes it’s her amazing smoothies, biscuits & gravy, eggs, pancakes....you name it. I love it and I don’t know what I’d do if she stopped.

23. I could babysit every night and never get tired of it.

24.I think I’ve eaten a pear every day this past week. I’ve just discovered that they’re amazing!

25. My shirts are organzied by color in my closet.

AAAA-CHOO!

That's what I've been doing about every 5 minutes the past couple of days.

I have a bad cold. I was soo glad that I hadn't gotten sick yet this winter with all the nasty stuff going around, but... I have now.

So far it has just been a bad cold, and kind of a low-grade fever. And I'm really tired. The tiredness is probably from the weekend too though.



Friday night Ellie and Kendra stayed here and we were up till 3ish.
Fun Times. :)
Oh, fyi we ate a whole bag of tortilla chips. :D

Saturday I took a nap and scrapbooked. That night I babysat Wyatt & Wade. I hope I didn't give anything to your boys, Nancy... but I was feeling fine then!

Sunday afternoon I looked like I had been crying all day I was such a mess. I took another nap and then we went to U. John & A. Jeanne's for pizza because Grandma is staying there for a while.

If you remember, Pray for Grandma because she is feeling very discouraged. She told us Sunday night that she's "just sick of all this!" She can hardly drink or eat and she just feels gross a lot.

I don't know about you, but this weather is really getting me down. I'm ready for a Sunny day! I don't care if it's cold... it's better than this rain and gloom.

I feel like I've gotten nothing accomplished yesterday and today. And I have so much to do! I hate colds....

So last night I was on my way to babysit when I got behind a very slow moving van with the flashers on.
I passed the van, and what I saw just made me laugh!

A mom was driving the van following her kids in one of those little battery-operated cars with their dad walking beside them. On Cruger Road in Eureka! Hahaha!

Awesome Weekend!

Last week was I just dreading the weekend.
1. Because I had a violin recital
2. The Bible Class had a retreat that I honestly wasn't too excited about.

I had my recital Friday night. I messed up a lot... and sounded horrible. But at least it's over with! :)



I had to get up at 5:30 Saturday morning for the retreat. I'm not sure why I wasn't too excited about it...but I had a blast.

The retreat was in place of VBS in the summer and we had it at the Farmington Old School Center. I don't know if you've ever been there or not, but it's just an old school someone is fixing up that you can rent out.

Anyways, we had lots of bible study/lessons that were really good, lots of food, did a work project at Midwest Food Bank, played volleyball, and did skits. It was really quite fun.


Poor Karen... her allergies were a mess because of the mold in some of the rooms. She just carried a kleenex box around with her the whole time. :)

Jenna's group's skit was really amazing. Here's American Idol tryouts with Simon, Paula and Randy... and that's Emily trying out and singing "God Is Bigger Than The Boogie Man!" It was really funny.

I was an old granny in my skit. That was kinda fun to be. :)


I'm not really sure what to say. I think the word "Awesome" pretty much covers the whole weekend.

I'll post more pictures once someone either puts them on Facebook or gives me a CD. Otherwise, this is all I took. I should've taken more, but I was just too busy having fun. :)

Last night all the Schick's went to Uncle Scott & Aunt Dawn's for pizza before Katie's family left today.I was so glad she got to spend the night here... even if it was just one night. Love u Kate!
