School

*Sigh* Oh yes.... school.

If you asked me how my first day was, I probably said something like this:
"Pretty good! I think English is going to be really hard, and Accounting will be pretty easy."

Seriously, don't ask anyone how there first day was. Try there first week or there first test. :)
I found out you don't really know anything just after the first day.

I went to school yesterday pretty excited about the classes, and thinking "I can do this!"

After my Accounting class I was soo discouraged. I didn't understand hardly anything she lectured about, and it seemed like everyone else did. And what I did understand she explained multiple times. I didn't get what we had to do for homework either.

On break, I went into the library to try and figure all this stuff called homework. That's when I ran into Morgan(Schick)! I was soo excited to see a familiar face since I know like know one there! She took Accounting 120 last year and she's taking 121 this year. She answered a few questions for me, and explained the homework. Then we went to lunch together. :) It made my day. :)

Then I went to my English class which is a breeze compared to my other. :)

I am so not used to this homework thing. I woke up early because I just kept thinking, "I've got sooo much to do, and I don't know when I'm going to do it!" I think I'm going to have to stop scheduling things on the weekends.
I started reading my chapter today, and I THINK I'm actually getting it. Such a relief. But I might go to the lab just to make sure... :)

Well, I need to go read more of it, so wish me luck... and sorry if this was completely boring to you! :) I told ya I would keep you updated! :)

New Things

It's going to be a week with a few new things, that's for sure!

  • Tuesday I start ICC. I know I've already mentioned it, but it seemed so far away then. Now it's in two days. I'm telling everyone I'm a little nervous, which I am..but I probably won't really get nervous until I can't find my classroom, or when I don't know what to do. Ok, I guess I'm making a bigger deal than it is. But still. It's my first time EVER going to school. Sad, I know. And intimidating. :)

  • Wednesday is the first day of piano lessons for my two new students. :) I'm very excited to teach these kiddos what I know. (Which may not be enough...)

  • Orchestra starts on Thursday. This isn't really new new, but it's a new semester. :) It actually started last Thursday, but I missed it. Anyways- I got the music beforehand, and we only have 8 long and extremely hard songs! I'm not quite sure when I'm going to find the time to work on it...

So not too many new things, but still...

I just hope it all goes well this week. :)

And don't worry. I'll keep ya posted. :D

Pfaffmann Christmas

Ok, here's my last Christmas post. :)

Pfaffmann Christmas was at Uncle Rob & Aunt Lily's. We usually do an all day thing, but since it was on Sunday, we just went over after church.
Siblings.
Em & Les

Charlie Robert was born December 22nd to Jake & Janell. We were surprised that this little 5 day old came to his first Christmas! :)

I'm not sure if I've ever held a baby that new...

Holly & Toby, Dad & Josh

I got a new piano book, and I got to sightread in front of everyone... :P

It was a great day as usual!!

Schick Christmas

The day after Christmas was the Schick Christmas at U. John & A. Jeanne's. We had a big brunch which was great as usual. I just wish my coffee cake would've turned out better....

I took lots of pictures:
I love these girls..

Adalai loves Luke
Some funny kiddos.

The clean-up crew. :)

Carson is adorable!

Uncle Scott & Tate

Cute girls.

Siblings. (minus U. Bill)
The photographers
Siblings with the spouses.

I loved all the snow we got that day. The kids went sledding in the afternoon.

That evening we went to the Big Schick Christmas at the Fellowship Hall. There was hardly any one there of our own Schick family. Adam & I were a little bored after the only entertainment, Adalai left. :)

Only one more Christmas to post about! :)

Christmas Day

Christmas Day we didn't have any plans- for the first time in my life. We've always had Schick Christmas on the day, but since Grandma's gone, they decided to change it. :(

We were invited to Uncle Tom & Aunt Carol's, because they weren't doing anything either. Lindsay & Jake & Morgan came, too.
The Mom's doing the dishes, as usual..
We played "Imaginiff.." Uncle Tom made up half of the choices... :)

Morgan, Linds & Me

Checking out the neat neat scrapbook Jessica made in memory of Uncle Ted.

Afterwards, Adam & I went to Uncle Scott and Aunt Dawn's, where some more Schicks were hanging out. Jason taught these people above (+me :) how to play "Skump."
I spent the night, and Jenna, Jamie & I watched a Mary-Kate and Ashley movie for the first time in a long time. We used to looove them and were pretty much obsessed. But now when we watched one, we pretty much rolled our eyes and made fun of it. Ohhh, to be in Junior High again.. ;)

So, the day was different than our usual tradition, but it was still good. And what made it even better was the SNOW! :)

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was our own family Christmas. Hyde and Luke spent the night before, and we had a big brunch in the morning.

I'm totally out of it right now, and had a little trouble uploading these pictures. They're not in order. At all. Actually, they're pretty much in the opposite order that I wanted them to be.
To end the day, we played Cranium. Husband/Wife teams really aren't a good idea. :)

Mom made an AMAZING dinner. Prime Rib, Twice Baked Potatoe Casserole, Salad, Shrimp, Green Beans, Chocolate dessert, wine, and sparkling juice. :) I'm probably forgetting something..

Heidi(&Luke) gave me an ihome. It's so nice to wake up to music instead of a annoying beeeeeep. :)

Heidi & Luke figuring out their new laptop.

Family <3

Heidi made a really good, big brunch. That was also delicious. After we ate, we opened presents.

I made Mom a piano CD for Christmas. She had no idea... it was so fun to surprise her! I love her expression in this picture.

She's just always begged me to make her one!

Adam wanted a puppy for Christmas, so this is what he got :)
I think our own family Christmas is my favorite out of all of them. I love the traditions that we do.

First post of the year!

Happy New Year Everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Years with your family. I know I did!

One of the best things, I think, was having a week after all the Christmases to catch up on things and just do what I felt like doing. :) I'm learning to enjoy that more since I know this next semester is going to be very busy and probably stressful...? I don't know, we'll see how it goes. I start ICC on Jan. 19th, and this will be my first time ever to school. I know, I know... that's so crazy! So I'm a little nervous about it. Especially since one of my classes is English, and I'm horrible at writing papers. I'm also taking Accounting 120, which I think might be a fun challenge. I honestly think I will probably love it, except walking to and from my car in the freezing cold. I hear the classrooms are cold too...

A few things I did this week:

Tuesday, Mom & I went shopping and out to lunch with Jill & A. Jeanne. It was short, but fun. :)

Adam & I watched Phantom Of The Opera this past week. I had never seen it, but I've listened to the soundtrack a lot before. The movie was a whole lot better than I thought it would be. But it's also kind of weirdish.

I didn't do anything on New Years Eve because I was up at 3:30am the next morning to go skiing. It was a fun group, but it was absolutely freezing. 10 below wind chill! I'll post pictures sometime... :)

Ok, now for a new post with lots of pictures.
