Bridget's 2!

Last Friday night we celebrated Bridget's 2nd birthday! I've decided that it's the most fun birthday to celebrate with a little kid, because it's all so exciting and new to them, they get the whole birthday and present thing, and they're still at that sweet and innocent stage! :) Bridget was hilarious... She kept saying "presents for ME!" Oh my, this girl just makes me smile and laugh. I have way too much fun with her.

That Saturday, Daniel had to work. So I cleaned the house, and then went out to lunch with Hannah, Kendra, and Darcy. Kendra & Darcy came over afterwards and we sat around and talked forever. It was so much fun. I haven't had much "girl time" since I've been married. :)

Sunday Kendra came and visited me in Roanoke. I was so glad, because no family was there, Daniel was working, and I was a little lonely...especially since I'm still so new to that church!

Sunday afternoon was Uncle Tom & Aunt Carol's annual wiener roast! It was Daniel's weekend to work, but he got off early for it, which I was SO thrilled about! :)

So there was our weekend. It was lovely, especially since we still got to do alot of stuff, even though Daniel had to work. So thankful for all the family we have to do things with.

Enjoyable Weekend

Last weekend was so so enjoyable. Robert & Mary(Daniel's sister) had their baby on Thursday, so all day Friday at work I knew we were going to the hospital that night! :)  

Asher William. So so precious. I got to hold him for a whole half an hour to myself. :) Until he decided to pee all over me! Through the diaper and the blanket, and even running down my skirt!

 Robert & Mary. Their house is now full with 4 little boys. But they're all so precious even though they're all boys. :)

Saturday morning was a baby shower for Ellie. Is one of my best friends really having a baby in 5 weeks? Weird. I know I'm married, but having a baby is completely different and harder to get used to!

After the shower, the Core 4 plus Larissa and Kristin came over to see our apartment. Some of them had already been over, but it was fun to have everyone. I was sad Daniel & I had to leave so soon, so we kind of had to kick them out.

We went over to Daniel's parents and helped his mom out in the yard. Later in the afternoon, we went to the Lughinbul's who had invited us out for a cookout. We went earlier in the afternoon though to fish. They live on a beautiful lake. Especially in the fall, when the leaves are starting to change colors.

 It was a great night. I love sitting around the campfires and talking. Especially with people like Les & Judy(and Seth!). They're so sweet! Sad I didn't get a picture of our host's.

Sunday night we went to my parents. We were going to go hiking, but I didn't feel good. We ended up leaving about 7 because I was miserable. And, I was. I got sick with the stomach flu that night. It's taking me awhile to completely get over it. Daniel took great care of me, even though he had to go to work on Monday morning. We offically made it through our first "in sickness and health" test. ;)

Thankful for such a beautiful fall. My favorite time of the year!

Married Life

I'm still here. Crazy busy as ever though!

I feel like I have officially became an old married woman already. I go to bed very early and all I ever want to do is sleep! I pretty much come home from work, make dinner, and then either go for a run with Daniel, or clean up the kitchen and move onto the forever long thank you note list. And then head to bed super early. 

Sometimes I get up early with Daniel at 5am, make him breakfast, and then move onto the cleaning.

Working 8-5 has been hard with trying to get the house organized. But I feel like I finally got it pretty much where I want it to be for now. Now it's just keeping up with the house which takes so much time, and I've sort of been particular about it. :)

Here are a few photos from the first month we were married. It has now been 7 weeks I believe! :) 

On a Saturday night, Jenna, Jamie, and Adam came over and we went out to eat at Chili's. We then and ate dessert at Sweet Cece's...even though we were all stuffed. But Jaim & Adam wanted to! :)

Then they all came over to our apartment and Brad joined us. We played Quelf until almost 11:30. Way past our bedtime! ;) It was a fun night, full of laughter and giggles! I laughed so hard my stomach hurt the most it ever has! Never a dull night with this group!

For those who don't know, Daniel has pet deer. He has two of them, and they're both bucks. They were starting to get a little rambunctious, so their antlers needed cutting off. One evening we went out to Mom & Dad Leman's and a guy came out and helped Daniel cut them off.

Daniel has been a super good motivator for me for running. We both went and got new running shoes and have really been on a kick....when we have time that is! It's been a little hard lately, but we did really good for a while, especially when we knew we had a run coming up!

Daniel & I did the Morton Pumpkin Festival run. We only did the 2 miler, because I didn't have time to train for 6 miles. And Daniel was kind enough to run the shorter one WITH me. I got my best time ever though which I was happy about! :) This was our first race together, and we hope to do a whole lot more!

Some of my co-workers actually got a team together. So we had Gorenz t-shirts made, and even though we didn't run together, we all met up at the end.

We went to Heidi's afterwards for a bit, and stayed for the Pumpkin Parade. I remember only ever missing one. My mom said she brought me to my first one when I was just 6 weeks old. :) I'm not sure Daniel was such a huge fan though! So we might not get to go again until we have kids that would enjoy it. :)

It was so much fun to go with Bridget though, who is at the perfect age for a parade with candy!

She got quite the basket full, that's for sure!

I can't believe this little girl is almost 2! I just LOVE her to pieces!!

In other news... we got our car broken into just a couple weeks after living in our apartment. That's what you get for living in the city I guess! They didn't really get too much, except we still had to replace the side window which they shattered with a brick.

Anyway, I will try and keep you all posted with our lives. I think it will finally start to slow down a little bit...I hope! All I can say is it's FALL, which is our favorite season for both of us! Can't get enough of it, and I don't want it to end!!

Married!

This is a quick post to say I am now MARRIED (as you can tell from my front picture now :).

I didn't like that 9 DAYS post up there anymore. Because we have currently been married for almost 4 weeks! Wow time flies when you're having fun! :)

Anyway, all I can say is that we are EXTREMELY blessed. We are also extremely busy! :)

I will be sure and post details/pictures from the Honeymoon and Wedding when I get around to it.
But for now, it's not top priority! :)

9 DAYS!

Well guys, I am marrying my best friend in just 9 DAYS!

I can't believe the days are already in the single digits! It seems like I've been engaged forever, even though it's really only been 3 months.

Let's just say I am ready for this wedding planning to be DONE and over with. It's definitely been the most stressful thing the past 3 months. And let me tell you, the last 2 weeks are not the best...the nerves that everything's going to work out are kicking in! 

We got our apartment this week, so now we're quick trying to get it somewhat organized and moved. We need a lot more stuff and organization done before it's ready to be a home, but a lot of that is going to have to wait until after the wedding and honeymoon!

So crazy that my wedding is in 9 days! It always seemed so far away!

Summer of the Engagement!

Hello bloggers! Yes,  I am still alive believe it or not! To say this summer has been absolutely hectic and overwhelming is an understatement! Let's just say I'm ready for a normal life again. A new normal that is! :)

I thought I'd share some photos I've taken this summer. I'll most all of my shower pictures later. :)
So here is a brief overview of what we've been up to... which involves mostly celebrating birthdays!:)

We went to Robert & Mary's (Daniel's sister) for Michael's 6th birthday. They have a lake near by there house so we went fishing. A little scary to have 3 little boys throwing hooks/lines all over the place!

And of course, since we're planning a wedding, there has been LOTS of shopping(and swiping the credit card) involved! Mom, Elisabeth(Daniel's sister) and I had a marathon shopping day which was much needed!

Daniel & Shiloh(Daniel's nephew) birthday's are just 2 days apart. My family went to Roanoke for the day and then spent the day at his family's house to celebrate Shiloh, Daniel, Dad, & Luke K's birthdays.

Home

Well folks, I'm home from my wonderful vacation.

But it has been simply marvelous to BE back. :)

I know I've kind of been known for taking a ton of pictures all the time. But I haven't lately at all. This is the only other picture I've taken of the 2 of us since our first night meeting. Pretty pathetic!

Maybe someday I will write a short post about how God led our lives together. Or, if you want to know I would love to tell you...just ask!

The less important things are getting done slowly but surely. The dresses are figured out, we registered today(talk about overwhelming!), we have a photographer.. blah blah blah. Suddenly I'm beginning to care less and less about this stuff. :)

Anyways, all I will say is my days at work drag on, and then the evenings fly by way too fast. But I am so thankful we don't live miles apart from each other. We are blessed!

So time flies on. Only 10 weeks left. Wow!
