Some people go to Florida for spring breaks, some on a mission trip, some do nothing but sleep in. I on the other hand, got less sleep during my spring break than I normally do. I was either working or teaching lessons all week. In the evenings I did some stuff with friends and did no homework, which was nice and a plus.
My excuse for no blogging? Well, I'll blame it on the tax season. I'm currently working 20(sometimes more) hours a week. I know it's not that much, but it is with school and teaching in there too. I'm just gonna warn you that this time of year will probably lack posts, because after all I am an accountant. :)
Spring break in pictures:
The weekend my spring break was ending, we had a girls night with these girls:
We started off with dinner at Biaggi's. Talk about good food! It was also the strangest experience as far as our waiter went. I'm pretty sure we giggled everytime he left our table.

Kristin, Kendra, Me & Shelly
Because it was a beautiful evening, you'd think we'd do something lovely outside, right? Well we went ice skating. I'm not sure how it came about, but it was great. It's been years since I've done that.
Darcy came and stayed with me for the weekend. She joined us for the ice skating... I think we all had fun. Even though it's kinda the Junior High hang out it seemed like.
After skating, we maybe cruised around town in Kristin's convertible. Yep, I felt like a high-schooler again. But it was my first time in a convertible, so I had to get the experience. :)
Us and our aprons. :) The hard thing with these was that they were reversible, with different fabrics on each side. Not a smart idea for a first sewing project. You can see every seam.. and how terrible we did ours.
I had a picture, but I deleted it accidentally. Whoops.
After dinner, ice skating, and a cruise, we went hot tubbing at Ron & Kary's. Haha, yep. We crammed a whole lot in one night. But it was super fun.
So that was Friday night that Darcy came. Saturday we had planned that we were going to learn how to sew, ALL by ourselves. I've sewn a lot in the past, but I'm pretty sure my mom helped me with every single step. So I felt like a beginner again because of that and it has been years since I've touched a machine.
Our 1st project? Aprons. Darcy said she had a pattern, so we used that. It was only a half-apron which doesn't seem super practical, but hey it was less to sew. Which was good for our first time.
Darcy started hers first and it was kind of the experiement apron. Poor girl, it didn't exactly turn out the best. But hey, the patchwork look is good too, right? :)
I did figure out the sewing machine out myself, which I was pretty proud of. I may just have to ask for one for my birthday this year..
Saturday night we went shopping and back to Sweet CeCe's. Sunday she left after church. But it was great having her for two whole days... when I wasn't stressed out or anything!
And that ends my Spring Break. My LAST spring break ever. I only 6.5 or 7 more weeks of school. Oh how I'm so excited!! :)
