Friday 9/28

So on Friday morning we watched the little kids: Eddy, Candi, and Diego. Wow, are they ever adorable. I can't post pictures right now, but I will when I get home. We stayed here for a while, but then we went out to the Ranch. We found a huge rattlesnake shed. *shudder* Thank goodness it wasn't the actual snake. We went back to the orphange and fed the kids and put them down for naps... and we ate lunch out there, too. We came home and went swimming for a while and then Katie and I went on a long walk and went and got a Pina Colada. It was really good, but I don't know if I would've liked it without it mixed w/lemonade. We hung out and ate supper really late. We had these things that you put chicken, meat and vegetables on sticks. I know the name but I have NO clue on how to spell it. :) Anywho, they were really good. We played Boulderdash after supper and it was purty fun. Last night I got really sick. It was pretty bad... And we were going to go hiking this morning, but just the parents went, which is where they are right now.
Oh yeah, right now they're having a festival and it is super loud and annoying at night.

My 1st day in Mexico

So.... we're in Mexico! The flight was good, it went pretty fast and we didn't have any delays or anything. We got in Arizona at 1:30 their time. After we got to Mexico we went to the orphanage and ate supper. Then we had church.. and of course I couldn't understand a word they were saying except for gracias and see. That night we went to bed pretty late and I was almost completely dead by then. oh, I didn't eat for the longest time yesterday(like 8 hrs.) except for snacks. I was almost completely dead then,too.
Yesterday morning we went to the Plaza and shopped around. I didn't find anything I liked for a good price, but they had some pretty cool stuff. Zion caught his ear on a thorn bush or something and it was bleeding like cRaZy. There was blood everywhere. Katie tried to stop it, but she just got covered in blood in the process. Poor Dog. He's better now, I guess. We hung out all afternoon and then went to the orphange. We helped with some stuff and then we played baseball. I've seen more lizards or whatever than I thought I would. Yaneli chased me with one. eww.... i can't stand those things. We went out to eat for supper at Momo's. I had a really good taco.

To Mexico We Go

On Wednesday morning, we're flying to Mexico. Katie is coming back with us and we're going to be there for 5 nights and then were going to Arizona for 6 nights. I'm not terribly excited about it, but.. once I get there I will be. Yeah, so anyways.. there's my update. I'll post pictures once I get back.
Oh yeah, we went to go see our new puppy yesterday, and we're getting it two days after we get back from MX and AZ! I'm excited.

So last weekend was my birthday. It was pretty good... after church my family and Jenna went out to eat at Old Chicago. I love their pizza! We came back to our house, and I opened presents. Everyone was kind of blah that night.
On Wednesday I went to Fritz’s to do piano lessons, and they had decorated for my birthday. It was so cute. They had a banner across the piano, party hats, blankets covering my chair and the bench and Amber played happy birthday on the piano. :) Then, they put little presents in the books. I think my favorite one was Wessie’s. He gave me a multicolored heart that he made by himself, he told me :)

On Thursday, I started orchestra! EXCITING! I made 1st violin, 8th chair. It’s not as bad as I thought it was going to be, but it’s not the best either. (what seat I got, I mean) Yeah, so practice is every Thursday night, and the music is pretty hard.

I start Drivers Ed on Monday! I’m so nervous I’m going to fail it or something. Cuz if you have to take quizzes/tests every day... I’m not very good at those things no matter what it’s on. So, that’s every night from 4:30-6:30. I don’t think I’m going to survive sitting there for two hours every day, plus I have to do my school every day!! :S

Last night Jenna & I babysat together. It was really fun. We only had 3 perfect little angels. Hopefully we didn’t brake the people’s TV though.. :) Oh, and we watched part of “Miss Teen, USA.” lol.... I had to think of Jill (maybe it was Jessica too) who would just die if they didn’t get to watch that or “Miss America.” We didn’t finish watching it because Jenna messed up the TV and we couldn’t figure out how to change the channel... so I had to look today and see who won. It was Colorado. Yay for her.

Lots Goin' On

And I mean lots. Normally I'm extremely bored in the summer... but this year has been kinda crazy.
But, the summer is over now. :( We started school yesterday... and I was so not ready for it to start. Since we're going to Mexico this fall and are taking 2 weeks off, we had to start extra early. It's pretty easy so far because we're kind of just adding on a couple subjects a day.
Katie gets here in 3 days, and I get to see her in 4!!!! It's been over a year since I've seen her... and for those who don't know, we get to take drivers ed together too. I'm superly excited. I'll get to drive (w/someone over 21) in just 15 days! Ok, so all those exclamation points are getting kind of old..
Ok, well my mother needs me... she's kind of gone wild with cleaning out, and now I have to go help her.

swimming!

So this week has been a swimming week. I had only gone swimming 3 times this summer. So, to make up for I went swimming Tuesday at Fritz's, Wednesday Hyde, Katelyn, Jenna, Jamie, Kristen and I went to Splashdown, and today I went again to Fritz's. I GOT FRIED today... It hurts worse than it looks too. I guess it was my fault.... :D

School starts in a week and a half! :P NOO...The summer can't be over!

WOW

So it's been a really long time since I've updated. So.. here goes an extremely long new post(I think...). Ok, so in June our family went to Wisconsin. It wasn't the best year of going up there, but it was pretty fun. Our cabins were not very nice at all and the weather was kind of rainy. BUT, I got to go to a Lorie Line concert. For those who don't know who she is, she's an amazing piano player. She played some solos, but she also had 5 members of her orchestra w/her. It was a 2 hour concert and it was amazing. I also go to try water skiing!! I got up on my first try, but I only go to go twice. :( My cousins, Jake & Janell Fehr came up with us this year and stayed with us in our cabin. It was a little tight, but we survived. A few weeks later, I went to Kansas. Heidi took me out there and stayed for a couple days. I went stayed for about 2 weeks. It was a lot of fun... we went swimming, did aerobics, layed out and lots of other stuff. I was never bored, and I didn't want to come home, but once I got home I was glad I was home. (that sounded kind of wordy...) This week is the Woodford County 4-H fair in Eureka. I have to turn in some projects tonight, and I still need to finish them. For my photography, I took pictures of Laura. She is so adorable, and I love the pictures. I'm going to be at the fair all day every day. But, I guess there's only 3 days. :-) Saturday night we had Schick cousin night. It was a lot of fun. We went mini golfing at Roc Ice Cream(I'm not sure what the name is..) in East Peoria. Ok, so I'm going to post a few pictures, and then I've gotta go make cinnamoin rolls for 4-H. oh yeah, is my blog the only blog that won't let you use the enter button? More Pictures to come!
